    UEFA Euro 2012

Thread for those who wish to discuss this years Euro which starts officially tomorrow.

    Group A

    - Poland
    - Greece
    - Russia
    - Czech Republic

    Group B

    - Netherlands
    - Denmark
    - Germany
    - Portugal

    Group C

    - Spain
    - Italy
    - Republic of Ireland
    - Croatia

    Group D

    - Ukraine
    - Sweden
    - France
    - England

My heart's beating for Croatia, it's only natural to support your home team, though to be honest Croatia's bound to have hard time against Spain and Italy, even though Italy doesn't really have a positive score against us so far. Due to quite a few players being involved in illegal affairs Italy's a wounded lion right now, although we all know what Italy managed to do the last time they were in this position.

I expect Germany to win this, they have a truly great team, rather young, though fairly experienced. Besides, they're always close, it's about damn time they go all the way. Netherlands's up there as well, I don't think Spain can repeat another great success, sure, they have the best team, though they seem slower than usual, exhausted as well. England has always been full of bunch of losers as far as national team goes, no offense to anyone. I highly doubt they'll prove me wrong.

There was great deal of injuries during the friendly matches, I hope those wont affect the overall quality of football we'll witness during this Euro. With all that being said, I would love if one of the outsiders won this, like Croatia or Denmark, the same way Greece managed to do 2004.

    Re: UEFA Euro 2012

Did anyone else happen to catch the opening ceremonies? Holy shit, they were hilarious and beautifully European. A house DJ AND a dubstep breakdown? Amazing.

I'm going to try catching up on the first couple of games right now, as I recorded them on my DVR. I'll pull for England or Spain I guess? That's the problem with being an American for stuff like this.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."

    Re: UEFA Euro 2012

The opening ceremony was indeed beautiful, it only lasted 12 minutes though as a tribute to 2012. The opening match was surprisingly good, great in fact, I honestly didn't expect to see such flare, passion, though most importantly an open game between highly defensive teams such as Poland and Greece. The second match was even better, Russia really demolished Czech Republic.

We're in for quite a treat tonight, Netherlands against Denmark and Germany against Portugal. By far the toughest group on this Euro. I'll be bold enough and say, as good as Portugal is I think Germany will have easier time against them than Netherlands against Denmark.
