Ever felt so strongly about something so much you decided to stick with it until such a point where something (or someone) eventually gave out? Maybe it's political, maybe it's a feud with a long standing rival, maybe you're standing up for others who either can't or won't stand up for themselves, maybe you feel compelled to protect something you love that's ultimately doomed to expire, perhaps you have a different reason entirely.

When have you stood for/with something til the bitter end? What could drive you to it in the future?

Actually, it's an approach I take a good deal of the time.
Not everything is about you chad and it's terrible to see you and your buddies hijacking and spamming threads.

I still haven't gone 'Til the Bitter End' on TFF neither as even the Turkeys here can't piss me off enough. You've got to do something along the lines of beating the crap out of a mate of mine or killing a pet of mine or something similarly vile before my resolve sets in like that.

There, notice how I answered the question in the original post (even if I did engage you in your desire for a pissing contest)? It wouldn't kill you chad.

The only other thing I get that passionate about is censorship and the restriction of rights I've grown to know and love. While I can't take a direct stand there without getting absolutely squished by the powers that be, I do actively undermine the efforts of those pro-censorship. Even established a group of people here dedicated to doing that.

It's unclear to me why you constantly try to group me with other members saying they're my "buddies", or whatever. The fact that you made this thread, and then got my response and made this specific post is directly related to the reason why I was asking you why you claimed to stay awake for "a couple weeks" in the first place. Which, I honestly had no intention of attacking you in the first place. I was merely asking questions, yet you never presented a suitable response to my post. Instead, you bottled up and used that emotion to post on the internet, much as if you'd do if my fist was suddenly in your face in real life.

It's clear to me why you haven't gone "til the bitter end" on TFF. Nobody is going to argue with you for that length of time, because you're not worth the time. Intelligent people can form a hypothesis on an issue and test it in other ways. What you do is simply divert that process to an alternate situation. The worst part is, you actually think you have an ounce of intellect in any of your boring, generic posts that you feel like you "win" when someone gives up trying to help you.

Also, your little spiel about "pro-censorship" is pure hypocrisy. If you're trying to get my posting "style" censored, which quite much varies from your own, then you're effectively trying to censor something. Which makes absolutely no sense yet again why you would even bring that up.

And for the record, I would never go "til the bitter end" in a debate with someone because there is a definite point in which when an intelligent person is trying to converse with a less fortunate person the debate moves into a defensive argument to try to spare some dignity of that person. False dignity. On the internet.

And if you happen to actually read my posts, I'm pretty on topic most of the time. However, I'm not obsessed with the idea of being on topic as I don't believe it creates the best environment for an open discussion.

Maybe it's the MSN snippits I occasionally get posted to me, maybe it's viewing TFF Walls or club interactions or something, I dunno. You're right, I haven't seen anything at all that could point to you being buddies with other TFFers.

Again, you did not ask me questions, you solely used statements. And this thread has nothing to do with that thread - it was one I had sitting on my text editor for a while before even seeing your response in that other thread. It's something I have a genuine curiousness in. And chad, if your fist was in my face I would beat your brains in at very least - it's my preferred method of doing things. I'm not an intellectual. I may have scored above average marks in school but I chose not to further develop like that instead favouring a job that my other skills would be useful for.

Again, I do not see myself as an intellectual. I prefer my fists whenever given an excuse to use them - such as if you were to punch me. Self defence laws here are brilliant like that. If anything I look down on most 'intellectuals' because of how I see them act towards others they see as 'inferior'.

I am not trying to get your style censored. And I brought it up because it's relevant to the thread topic unlike all of your posts here.

Will you two both shut up? Answer someone when they relate to the topic at hand. To be honest, I don't think either of you are doing that.

As to the topic. I'm prepared to fight 'till the bitter end' on a range of largely-political issues, especially those revolving around environmentalism, but also worker's rights, and the rights of the indigenous.

I'm also passionate about transport systems and urban networks. But I'm weird like that because I study human geography.

At the same time I feel myself becoming less of an ideologue; but there are still things that I at least will always feel strongly about.
