Nobody's oldschool anymore. Get with the program. It's all about being a douche and trying to earn a a trophy online. Get with the times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pete: Meier, don't even lie. I know you were going on a nice little tear before you settled down with the new gf
che: rofl <3 Meier.
Loaf: Meier is the best.
Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

Well I hear what rJ's saying.
Only thing more pathetic is groups of people heavily into awards that mean jack shit.
Probably why I only usually browse this site from work now - real life in general is just more fun, you meet better people (that said I have met some great people here, even if most have since buggered off), have more real experiences (sight and sound are all you really get from most online activity) and nothing beats hanging with people in person.
If the TFF awards are that big a deal, maybe you need to get off your PC and socialise a little.
I always thought that they were just a way to boost activity. Which in the time I have been here seems effective. When they start people come out of nowhere and start posting.
Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!
As Meier said "What's wrong with member recognition?"
We all have to learn that people have different ways of socializing. Some people probably hate the world of Reality because they're nobodies there. In the PC world, you can be somebody, ANYBODY (which has, unfortunately, spiraled out of control) they want to be.
Personally, I prefer to be recognized here. I tried my best to be recognized in real life, and received very little. I've gotten more recognition here in the PC world, which gives me a good reason to keep trying to socialize here.
And we don't have to tell our grandkids of our awards here. We can just as easily tell them we've had no impact in the real world, in order to motivate them to become someone.
That's what I would do (at least it's true in my case). So why don't we stop criticizing and just move on? I've been criticized my whole life, and guys, it just keeps getting frustrating.
To summarize, no one person is the same as the next one, everyone is different, so mind your own business, especially when it doesn't affect you. That is all.

Please read the poetry from two great friends of mine. May they find peace.

Hasn't seemed to happen this year.
I suppose the effectiveness really depends on how many people still give enough of a damn to come back and rarely post.
Only reason I am is there's not much to do around 4-5am after the drunks have staggered home...
