I just dont trust clowns. I find their jovial behaviour suspicious. You never know under all that makeup could be Obama Bin Laden....or Kevin Costner. Just whoever you find more offensive.
Clowns are terrifying... we all know it. What about clowns scares me?
The juxtaposition of such a demeaning job and being so damn cheerful just screams, "Bring a shotgun to work day." And when you work with children, that day is never pleasant.
What about clowns do you fear? Or, I guess some of you may like clowns, what do you like about them?
If at all possible, please include a picture that supports your post.

I normally don't mind clowns. They're there to make you laugh and smile, which is always cool in my book. At the same time though, you've gotta wonder about the person behind the facepaint. I don't think a normal person could be that cheery all the time, and I bet that there's probably a lot more silent suffering and alcoholism than the red nose and suspenders let on. THAT's what disturbs me about clowns.
Oh and this dude.

You're close. Look up either Pogo the Clown or John Gacy.
THIS is why I don't like the man behind the makeup haha.

I just got done reading this. I will indeed never be able to sleep again.
On a more important note, why do you know about this Pete? WHY!?
Im a big Stephen King fan, actually I have never really had anything to do with clowns not terrified of them just never really found them entertaining just stupid and pathetic, I was more into magicians and the like.

I am actually not creeped out by clowns. They aren't really that awesome, either though.
Lame jokes, makeup, balloons. It's past their time for sure.
Haha, my ex was a psych major and she had to do a report analyzing a serial killer. She picked ole Johnny boy and would rattle off random facts. The whole clown killer really stuck with me for some reason. I mean just think about it. He's a clown by day and a mass murderer by night.
My kinda clown

I'm fine with clowns, as long as there isn't one in the gutter trying to persuade me to come down, then I have a problem. I don't want your damn candy! gimme funnel cake and we'll talk.

My favorite clowns are Kefka Palazzo and The Joker. And Charlie Brown, but he is more of a sad clown than a crazed, malicious one.
Clowns can look a little creepy, if I dwell on their image (for example, Block's first image, and I think Pete's, as well.) I generally don't, though. Anyhoo...

Clowns may die, they're uber creepy. Even as a child, I'm like "get away from me balloon man... o_O" They're just so naturally creepy, I think.
Of course, when it comes to INSANITY, there's only one I'll accept...
I'm going through a bit of a The World Ends With You phase right now.Click THERE:

This is not a clown thread without Yucko the Clown.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."
Crao Porr Cock8. Bitch.
Clowns get no respect, just like the late (and great) Rodney Dangerfield. I don't think he ever dressed up like a clown, but if he did, he would get even less respect, which you would think would be impossible since he doesn't get it anyway. How would that work? Negative respect, I guess?
Anyway, on to clowns. They don't creep me out, but I don't have any particular fondness for clowns. I guess I'm neutral on the subject.
What about mimes though? They are kind of weird. Sort of creepy too. I guess people don't think about them too much, since clowns are more prevalent. I never seen an irl mime, but I have seen a clown. I saw one driving in a car (he was the only one in the car. It would have been cooler if it had been stuffed with clowns though.) when I was on my way to school. My mom was with me and we both saw him. She turned to me and said, "Please tell me you saw the same thing I did".
Anyway, clown picture:
I can't believe no one has posted or mentioned good ol' Krusty the Clown.
