What kind of shoes/footwear do you wear? Are you about comfort and functionality? Or style? Or both? Or maybe you like to go it bare foot like a yard dog. Haha. How much are you willing to spend or have spent on a pair of shoes?

I myself, wear flip flops (aka THONGS in Australian) pretty much all year round. Because they're simple and comfortable. I also wear ballet flats occasionally, mostly in winter. I own a few pairs of heels (for collection purposes only) but I don't actually wear them out, as I'd fall over and look like a douche. The only other shoes I wear are work shoes, which are steel cap canvas shoes. I have to wear them, because I work in a factory. I do wear slippers sometimes in winter, but I usually just wear socks if my feet are cold. The most expensive shoes I have purchased were a pair of Doc Martens. Cost like $200.

And no, I don't have a foot fetish. I just wanted to make a thread and this is what I came up with

Style and comfort, man. That is functionality, too, given I don't need steel-capped shoes to sit in a chair all day.

I own two pairs of chucks: low-cut grey ones, and high-cut black ones. The lo-cuts are wearing out, and I think I'll replace them with high-cut white ones.

Black dress shoes when I need to be fancy.

Oh, and I wore jandals (flip flops/thongs) for the first time since last summer today! Spring is here!

Generally cheapo wal mart shoes on the off chance they fit. I have reeeeally wide feet. Like, the widest they sell at most places are still too small. So, if I can't find tennis shoes that fit, I usually go with DCs since they're wide enough for my big ass feet.

I've got the opposite problem, I've got super narrow feet. Nike's about the only brand that fits me right for tennis shoes, so I usually wear Nike's for everyday shit. If I plan on looking good, I've got my fancy Harley Davidson motorcycle riding boots, not the MOST comfortable thing in the word, but they look sweet. And then for formal occasions, I have a nice pair of black leather shoes, Red Wings. That's the brand my dad always got his steel toed work boots from, which is how I found out about them. Kinda pricey, but they make a good, durable shoe that isn't uncomfortable at all by dress shoe standards. For a tennis shoe I won't go over 120$, for a dress shoes I'm willing to go maybe 180$, my riding boots cost like 350$, but in theory I'll never have to replace those. ****in shoes are expensive.

Same as Alpha, I'm sucker for chucks, high cut chucks in particular. I'm fine with regular athletic shoes as well, brand doesn't really matter as long as I like their design. Price on the other hand does, never went above 150 KM for pair of shoes. Right now I have two pairs of regular athletic shoes (umbro, adidas, both white) and one pair of high cut chucks (standard black).

I've got a pair of like mauve/purple/maroon chucks that are leather, pretty legit. I actually own a lot of shoes varying from thongs/flip flops(also converse made) to a good dress shoe. For a long time I was all about style but between my flat footed-ness and the price to get good insoles I decided I would just wear shoes that were more comfortable and wouldn't cause problems.

I have a very few pair of shoes, because I have never found a stylish pair that fits me properly, as I have really big, wide feet (Size 8 UK). That said, I do have a pair of sexy red heels that I bought from New Look (they do quite a good range of wide-fitting shoes) that have gotten me quite a bit of attention.

Lol, I usually just wear trainers/sneakers. At work I wear steel-toecapped boots, which you are supposed to do anyway. I laugh at the people who buy a pair of £10 shoes from the shoe shop over the road from work, only to have them fall apart after 6 weeks. Mine cost £12 from the market stall, and my last pair lasted 2 years!

A new shoe shop has opened on the High Street, and this has certainly got my attention. It sells Chuck Taylors and Dr. Martens as well; now I won't have to go all the way to Sheffield for a decent pair of shoes. How I wish I could afford a pair of each...

I got like 12 pairs of shoes. All through high school everyday I would wear my black/white classic chucks, low-cut. For these 4 years they were my everyday go to shoes.

When I was working management at McDonald's a few year back I had to wear non-slick shoes. So I gots these Swag chucks slip resistant. I enjoyed them quite a bit.

My everyday shoes now because I walk all damn day at my new job are some K-Swiss Tubes. The most comfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet.

I keep it relatively simple, but I have quite a few pairs of sneakers. I'm a big fan of classic Reeboks, and I have to pick up a new pair or two because my white ones are just beat to hell. I got a good two years out of them though.

I also have some running sneakers and cross trainers for well, running and doing athletic stuff.

I also have some crappy Old Navy flip flops that I kick around in when it's too hot for socks.

Then there are my glorious Red Wings for work. Composite toe, and weather/water proof. They might be my favorites.

I can also class it up with some nice brown or black dress shoes.

I also have a pair of blue Nikes, but I look like a douche when I wear them, so I don't anymore.

I'm sure I have more, but I can't think of them. I also need a new pair of Adios or some kinda skate shoe.

I'd love it if I could walk around barefoot all the time. I bloody hate shoes. My feet are quite problematic so finding shoes that fit well and are comfortable can be a bitch at times.

I tend to just wear converses and ballet flats most of the time. I can't wear heels past 2 inches tall or I'll fall, break my neck and die. And when walking, in heels that are 2 inches high, I look like I have a turtle head. Chunky heels and wedges are okay, though.

I usually wear thruster boots, or rocket boots. Whatever you want to call them. I am quite a fan of aviation, not only because it allows me to fly, but also because of how many people it's killed. For that, I had NASA's chief Administrator is Charles Bolden put a team together to help develop shoes that could make my fly. It was their top priority all throughout 2011, what with that colored man Obama shutting down the Space Shuttle Program and all.

So now, when I need to take a flight, I don't drive to the airport. I fly there. And my wife gets pissed off because I refuse to carry her on my back. I told her straight forward if she loses weight, I'll have no problem carrying her. Unfortunately, she then showed me the Red Right Hand of Ruiz-Eastwood. It was horrible. Didn't hurt at all. She punches like a woman.

I do have a pair of Vans, I usually wear those over my chucks because I can just slip them on instead of having to tie the whole shoe up.

I'll probably wear chucks till I realize how dumb I look with them on.

Skate shoes are the most comfortable of any shoe I have ever worn. I usually have some form of skate shoe on or I have the Nike that I am currently wearing.

Shoes frustrate me. =/ For one thing, if they don't make it in wide width, I can't wear it. This severely limits my options in footwear locally; the only place I even bother shopping now is online. Have a VIP Zappo's account, yay free overnight shipping.

Most of the time I wear sneakers because I have to be on my feet all day at work and comfort is a must. My current pair are made by Aviva and are black with silver trim. Pretty slick, if I do say so myself. I get a lot of compliments on them.

When I'm at home usually I have my shoes off.

I do have some other footwear though. A pair of brown flats I think I've worn once, maybe twice. Two pairs of sandals; one casual, one dressier silver pair for outdoor summer events. I did have a pair of black boots I bought in a store but they were so poorly made I couldn't wear them. I plan to look for a better pair soon.

I'd be willing to pay a decent amount for good shoes, unfortunately my wallet begs to differ. I think at most I've spent about $80 so far.

I like shopping online so I got links for most of the shoes I own. I have a general disgust for feet so flip-flips or sandals are a NO srsly feet,toes just gross me the fk out but I wear 1,2,3 or 4 when my friends n I get dressed up to go clubbing/dinner or a special occasion. I wear these and plain black ballet flats to work and everyday and/or on casual outings like shopping/lunch with friends I wear either 1, 2 or 3(exact with knee-high socks).

Depending on what the shoes are for I'll choose style or functionality.
