Well they're in KC now, but if you're ever going to the Rockaways/ Arverne, always take Crossbay/Woodhaven Blvd south, instead of Van Wyck. It's direct and less traffic.

Also avoid the grand central going east towards van wyck. Just go LIE to Woodhaven. Same wait but less bullshit.

The toll is worth it

I'm not jumping on a band wagon because my team is out. I also don't want to cheer for the team that eliminated the jays. I just don't want the same team to win this year as they won last year.

In other words, I hope the Mets outplay the Royals.

The Mets are in the world series and the Jets aren't completely god awful for once. Pete must be living the high life right about now.

I was honestly pulling for the Cubs, but we all know how that turned out. But at the end of the day I'm a Brewers fan, so I know nothing but pain and misery. **** it, I hope the Mets win and chaos reigns in MLB.

They're playing like it's back in June, before we got Cespedes. It's torture to watch. We need to take the next 3 at home... or at least make it a series.

I'm excited about the jets but I really can't focus on any other sports right now.

How about that Pine tar though? I don't think we'll see the last of that. The Royals seem to have a history of having pine tar around.

Got a call from my step-mother, apparently my father isn't taking it too well. He usually stresses out especially during the playoffs. Back when my parents were still together he would have a dish towel in hand and strike the sofa when the Mets screwed up - playoffs only. Kind of funny then and now, but it takes a toll on him. Cause my step-mom said he hasn't eaten in three days, he even told her that the grumblings of his stomach are getting quite loud. He didn't watch game 2, they were out and when they got home he went straight to bed. Wouldn't dare look.

It doesn't help that even though my dad and I are glad the Mets made it this far, I told him I really want them to win. Opportunity is rare. Who knows what our offense will look like next year. When the opportunity is there it must be taken.

I have see the Devils win the Stanley Cup, I have seen the Packers win the Super Bowl, I have yet to see my first (sports) love - the Mets - win the World Series.

We do! We get free toll cuz Arverne residents

Sucks tho cuz only way to Queens Mall if we don't drive is via Q52. I hate taking the bus.

I hate public transportation, period. I also hate Queens center mall because it's so ghetto.

I do like Roosevelt field but it'a a hike.

You think Queens Mall is ghetto? Huh.. I really have never gotten that vibe from it. I mean... I guess the -people- that frequent there do tend to be on the ghetto side, but it's much nicer than like the mall we used to frequent in Nashville when we were in high school. THAT place was ghetto. I can't even remember what it's called even though the building still stands. It went so far downhill, a lot of "gang" (I guess) activity started happening- people getting robbed in the parking lots, shootings on the somewhat regular, etc. It got so bad that between what was going on there and the whole area in general going bad, pretty much all the stores shut down- including the big boxes that surrounded it (Best Buy, Circuit City (yes I know it's totally gone altogether now), Staples, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc)..

We went to Roosevelt Field back in the spring! I really enjoyed it, even though it's not as big as Queens Mall. They've also got a Seasons 52 (I think that's what it is?) that I really have been wanting to try for some time. My little sister is gonna be here on Friday, so we may take her out there one day.

Wow, we did it. We beat everyone in the entire world and won the World Series. Apparently there is a parade tomorrow for the Royals, and its during the middle of the ****ing day ofc. And a ton of teachers are taking off, can't find enough subs to replace, so school is cancelled tomorrow. What the shit.

We gave you guys that championship with shitty defense and a lack of fundamentals. Granted, the royals can run and play small ball better than any team I can remember, but:

We had game 1 if Familia doesn't blow the save
We lost game 2 early and had no chance
Game 3 we won straight up
Game 4 was terrible defense and if we make simple plays weer win, or you don't bring in Clippard
Game 5, if Duda makes a half decent throw home, that game is over and in theory we win at home.
