I know there's probably some believers and some dis-believers out there, but it's still interesting nonetheless, especially given what she's allegedly predicted correctly for 2008.

At a glimpse, it sounds like the end of times.

Majority of those things that were supposedly predicted last year were probably things that most people thought would happen.

I would think that she better get something right with all of those predictions, but I doubt 90% of those things will happen. Most of these are pretty ridiculous. I do find this pretty interesting:

Well... as an eco nerd i'm already crossing out the rare green flamingo. Their pigmentation comes from Beta Carotene from blue-green algae. If this means an entirely new species- well new species are being discovered all the time, and there could be a green bird, possibly even flamingo-esque in appearance. As for an actual variation of flamingo thats somehow green... no. And odd shark spottings are common- they were spotted when I was in Cornwall a couple of years ago, it's not new news.

The Barrack Obama assasination attempts are rather likely as there has been warning on assasination plots, and unfortunatly even though this is supposed to be a world where we can all get on in harmony, it isn't. As for an actual assasination, he's supposed to have a lot of bodyguards, so hopefully it won't happen. As for Sarah Palin- I can't see that scary woman going away easily! I definatly see her trying to be in the public interest for a good few years. Plus the stock market has had issues for years- its definatly not new news.

Going now to my home of England... The Queen is 82 years old so its very likely for her to have some health problems. Charles will be stalking the throne like a hungry vulture! The Duke of Edinburgh is 5 years older than her so that is also very likely. As for the stuff around Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle- both are well guarded so its unlikely, however not impossible. Also how terrorist threats are dealt with in this country (even in the rail stations of "safe" cities such as Bath), with loads of security rushing around like blue-arsed flies at a slight hint of terrorist activity (remember the man who was shot dead for jumping a ticket barrier), it should be safe. This goes for the Crown Jewels too. Sex scandels in parliament very likely though, as they've happened before.

The weather stuff is all likely, but is unlikely at the same time. Weather is too unpredictable for me to say whether I believe or not. I really am hoping for a breakthrough in stem cell research (which i've liked the idea of since hearing about it a couple of years ago), and breakthroughs in the cure for cancer, Alzheimers, and heart disease. Research is being done all the time so its hit and miss whether theres a breakthrough. Some of the celebrity health problems are likely, at least of the ones I know of such as Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Axl Rose (Axl I know has had breathing difficulty in recent perfomances). Asside from a few I really don't know much about celebreties, and to be honest, anything can happen to people and relationships make and break. Sports I know zilch about!

I'm not even going to comment on the fashion! All I have to say is horray at least i'm not a fashion victim! Also... tragedy around a mud wrestler... that's strangely made my morning! A lot of these are crap, and theres so many that its likely for some to happen- especially the likely as above mentioned, and others I couldn't be bothered to cover (i'm already rambling). Oh well... it very humerous!

I will say the assination attempts and possible assisnation of obama are more likely. Plus they've already arrested a few ppl for claiming for a massacre that had to do with him. Plus I have heard that Jolie is already pregnant again and the rumor is with twins again lol. and I heard somewhere Heath Ledger was nominated for some award for the dark knight or will be. So some things have happened and theres always fires in california every summer because it gets so hot and dry. But some of them just seem rediculous but oh well lets just see what happens lol.

They're not Psychic at all. They're playing the odds. First of all they made nearly five hundred predictions. The ones that don't come true people will forget and most of them are tailored to come true. In fact some of them are unavoidable. There are some ridiculous ones in there on the off-chance that if they do come true people will freak out.

It's an old thaumaturge's trick. Nothing new. You'll get the same thing if you call a psychic for a reading. They generalize with broad and unavoidably likely and accurate readings and forecasts.

I see a great number of those coming true, btw. We'll see.

As far as I can tell most of these things didn't happen. Also when I compared these predictions, I saw a lot of repeat predictions. I also found out that some predictions have been made several years in a row. For example, I think this is the fourth year in a row that Hillary Clinton has been on the Health watch list. Hillary Clinton is bound to get sick one of these years.

Also I found this to be pretty interesting:

The SkepTick gave a talk a few weeks ago, and, just for fun, he copied down some predictions for 2008 that PsychicNikki had put on her website. One section was titled “Death Watch/Health Watch” - with names of people who might have a higher chance of dying that year. A few days later (January 22), Heath Ledger died. Returning to PsychicNikki’s website on the 23rd, he discovered Ledger’s name added to the “Death Watch/Health Watch” predictions for 2008. Even worse for her, the google cache of her website still showed Ledger’s name missing from the list.

Psychics: showing that they can predict the future by retroactively changing their predictions. And when her website claims that she’s “in the top 1%” of psychics, I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true.

Anyone can get predictions right if they write them after the event already happened.
