Lulz, I remembered this thread when I was having a friend take the Meyers Briggs, one of the pages I was showing him descriptions on listed some careers, just for fun I looked at the ones for me.
INTP - Jung Type Descriptionsphilosopher, game designer, scientist, software engineer, freelance artist, research scientist, assassin, freelance writer, physicist, software developer, mathematician, geologist, computer scientist, philosophy professor, webmaster, slacker, medical researcher, painter, mortician, systems analyst, comic book artist, computer technician, website designer, scholar, archeologist, computer repair, forensic anthropologist, astronaut, researcher, historian, systems engineer, genetics researcher, astronomer, environmental scientist, egyptologist
Kinda surprised to see that one on the list XD. Yet, I am forced to admit there is a certain appeal to the idea of planning out murders and how to get away with them for a living. I love being an amoral asshole, so many fun possibilities open up to you when you don't give a damn whether shit's right or wrong.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.

lol that rare? Really?INTJs are one of the rarest of the sixteen personality types, and account for about 1–4% of the population
Basically most of the stuff said about INTJs do apply to me. THese quotes strike me the most though
INTJs are analytical. Like INTPs, they are most comfortable working alone and tend to be less sociable than other types. Nevertheless, INTJs are prepared to lead if no one else seems up to the task, or if they see a major weakness in the current leadership.
I noticed I am generally a quick learner..as long as I am interested in it. Guitar, Piano, and drawing are the examples of things I learned by myself just because I found myself interested in them at some point.(I still like drawing but the time I dedicate to it has become less these days and with that, my progress has slowed down)INTJs are perfectionists, with a seemingly endless capacity for improving upon anything that takes their interest. What prevents them from becoming chronically bogged down in this pursuit of perfection is the pragmatism so characteristic of the type: INTJs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "Does it work?" to everything from their own research efforts to the prevailing social norms. This in turn produces an unusual independence of mind, freeing the INTJ from the constraints of authority, convention, or sentiment for its own sake.
This is true for me too.INTJs can rise to management positions when they are willing to invest time in marketing their abilities as well as enhancing them, and (whether for the sake of ambition or the desire for privacy) many also find it useful to learn to simulate some degree of surface conformism in order to mask their inherent unconventionality.
Decided to take the test again, and read the answers more thouroughly before I selected... and here's what I ended up with.

ENFPs are initiators of change, keenly perceptive of possibilities. They energize and stimulate others through their contagious enthusiasm. They prefer the start-up phase of a project or relationship, and are tireless in the pursuit of new-found interests. ENFPs are able to anticipate the needs of others and to offer them needed help and appreciation. They bring zest, joy, liveliness, and fun to all aspects of their lives. They are at their best in fluid situations that allow them to express their creativity and use their charisma. They tend to idealize people, and can be disappointed when reality fails to fulfill their expectations. They are easily frustrated if a project requires a great deal of follow-up or attention to detail.
Keirsey descriptions
Champions delight in novelty. They are optimistic, enthusiastic, and vivacious, craving expressions of strong emotion. With a dramatic flair, they share their experiences with others, hoping to reveal some universal truth or win others over in support of a cause. Attuned to possibilities, Champions scan their environment, probing the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. This sensitivity sometimes conflicts with their intense drive for personal authenticity. Spontaneous and personable, they attract others to their company.
I think every time I've taken one of these in the past... 14 years, I've always come up with the exact same results, albeit with slightly different percentage values, nothing ever anywhere near 50% though. I guess I haven't changed since middle school.

Strange. As a freshman, I tested as an INFJ. Guess time changes all things, eh?

SPOILER!!:
First time I tested I was INTP, but the percentages were all hanging around 50, since then I've researched the type and consciously focused on developing my strengths, the percentages have just gotten more overwhelming each time I've taken it. Last time I did it, few months after this thread, it was something like 90, 96, 83, 92. I grow more INTP-ey with each passing day!

It's all a bit mixed though, there's really not much between 55% and 45% and I'm never over 70% one way or the other so it seems I'm a bit more in-the-middle than most They've placed intuition above feeling but I would say I'm the other way round.
Had a look at the wiki, it's surprising how they can be quite acurate, very interesting

"Everyone was so happy. 'Great job. You did it. You saved us... all.' There were too many smiles to count.
But now...When I look back... The people who should be here aren't.
The ones who should be smiling with me aren't here."
While it may seem that you're close to another type, that's actually very unlikely. Two types which are only a single letter off often have completely different cognitive functions. It's cognitive functions which really define the personality types, not the preference between I/e N/s T/f and P/j. If you're uncertain of the accuracy of the test based on being too close to the middle in some fields, you should try a Cognitive Functions Quiz.

According to Myers-Briggs,[12] INFPs focus much of their energy on an inner world dominated by intense feeling and deeply held ethics. They seek an external life that is in keeping with these values. Loyal to the people and causes important to them, INFPs can quickly spot opportunities to implement their ideals. They are curious to understand those around them, and so are accepting and flexible except when their values are threatened.
like, i remember i took this test once before and last time i got an INFJ instead. i guess i changed??? or somethin... hahaha.

You can never change your type, you can learn to use your weaker functions, but your original type will always be your strongest natural functions. One of the two times you simply didn;t get accurate results.

I tried yours lol Yeah ... he told me again that I am extroverted haha
Based on your cognitive functions, your type is most likely:
Most Likely: ESTJ
or Second Possibility: ESFJ
or Third Possibility: ISTJ
Your cognitive functions are, in order of development:
Te - Fe - Si - Ni - Ne - Ti - Se - Fi
Here are some quick descriptions of your functions, in order of preference:
The Extroverted Thinking (Te) function imposes our own order on the world around us. Te structures the world in logical ways, ranging from the physical world (your desk, your office, etc) to concepts (creating 'flow charts' of ideas in your mind.)
The Extroverted Feeling (Fe) function is used when an individual acts in a considerate way to the feelings and beliefs of the people around them. Those with strong Fe can easily empathize with other people and is the most likely to be a 'people person.' Those with weak Fe may find themselves offending people unintentionally.
Ohh, there is a ferret in my bedroom again...
everyone has both introverted and extroverted functions. In your case as an ESTJ...
your thinking and intuition are extroverted functions, your sensing and feeling are introverted. The reason the type as a whole is classified as extroverted because your dominant function, thinking, is extroverted.
My own type, the INTP
is considered an introverted type, because its dominant function is introverted thinking. I however also have extroverted intuition, and extroverted feeling, we all have two functions introverted and two extroverted.
As you can see in the diagrams, none of them are purely introverted or purely extroverted either. You also have introverted thinking, I also have extroverted thinking, but since my thinking is primarily introverted, my extroverted thinking is what you call a 'shadow function'. So we all have all eight functions, it's just a matter of how strong they are and which dominate the personality. This is why the MBTIs make me mad sometimes, they confuse people and make them think they're in between two types because they were close to 50% on one of the letter preferences, one letter difference means you have a completely different function stack. I'm one letter off from an INTJ, however the INTJ's functions are completely reversed from mine, their thinking is extroverted, their intuition introverted, their sensing extroverted, and their feeling introverted. Those functions are also in a different order. As we can see here.
So an INTJ and I are one letter off, but almost opposites of each other.
