I love America and all...well...I like America and all, but even I have to point out the flaw in this post.

I don't know what led you to believe Americans don't normally fear getting bombed. Especially when Obama just sent 30,000 more troops to Iraq out of fear we may in fact get bomb....or at least terrorized. LOL To point out one more fact. 9/11.....The plane crash heard around the nation. People are still in therapy over this, and many of them it did not even effect.

Also, living in Texas I KNOW we get invaded. By the Mexicans ! hehehe :-) Everyday hundreds of them cross our borders bringing drugs and weapons. We may have it a bit under control, but that's not working all that well seeing as there has been talk of a "wall". Plus we have tried to deploy more of our police officers there to protect us. Which means to me; we're are not that protected. Invaded as far as a country coming in and taking over....probably not, but we do get invaded in a very small amount, and it effects this country in some of the worst ways possible.

Okay, I can't let this go on. Mountain View, AR isn't even the best Mountain View in the United States. That honor duly belongs to Mountain View, CA. You think that handmade dulcimers are cool? Who do you think brought you that Google Maps that you were trying to use to get pictures. If you said anywhere but Mountain View, CA, well, you're wrong. Mountain View, CA is the home of Google and is probably the biggest density of tech companies anywhere in the United States. Heck, we have a museum of Computer History--and people GO to it**. Even ignoring Google, we have beautiful weather. We're within a short drive of the beach, and basically every relevant major technology company is located within a 45 minute train ride of the city.

Oh, yes, and we have the Shoreline Ampitheatre, which was one of the home perfoming centers of the Grateful Dead. Not to mention, being in California, we have In N Out burger, which makes everyone else jealous.


As for my country, well, everyone knows the US is the best*. That's why everyone's so clearly jealous. Heck, that's why some people come here illegally.



* Note, by best, I'm not talking about social issues. I'm really not.

Lol. Dulcimers are cool, sir. You just don't realize it because your surrounded by all that technological mumbo-jumbo that plagues YOUR Mountain View :P. There is natural beauty found in Arkansas, and that's how we like to keep it. You guys can have your fancy-smancy Google headquarters and technological companies. I don't want 'em. You don't have to drive far at all to see some beautiful sights. In fact, I can look out of my window and see a lovely scene of beautiful trees and hills. In the spring, it's quite nice.

And as for your weather, it may be nice, but NOTHING beats the unpredictibility of Arkansas weather. One day it could be smoldering hot, and the next could be freezing cold. Maybe that doesn't sound cool to some, but I like it because it keeps you on your toes. :D

yeah obviously 9/11 but aside from that it's not like I'm bracing up to get attacked. And seriously if people are in therapy about that who weren't even there or knew someone who died better grow some balls. If you live life worrying about the next time a disaster could happen then keep being a coward.

We haven't been attacked since then and unless you want to count the troops getting attacked well that's their jobs. And it's not in America. You know you might see conflict when you sign up. Not that I agree with sending troops in but hey I certainly didn't vote for him.

When did I say we didn't get any of that? We have that too around here. We also have some really beautiful parks right on the San Francisco Bay, and we've got plenty of trees and hills and such around here too. And, the best part is, we don't even have to be in the Midwest to have that. (That's right, I went there.)

Very well. I concede that Mountain View, CA is indeed better than Mountain View, AR. Savor your victory, because honestly I can't think of anything else other than dulcimers to back me up (OMG!! DULCIMERS! :LOL:). Well, I can think of one thing that's sort of interesting about Arkansas in general: Alma is the spinach capital of the world. That's great if your name happens to be Popeye. :P

To be honest, if I was to go anywhere in States, I would love to go to Colorado. I went there once, and it was pretty nice. There's nice mountains, and the air is some of the cleanest I've ever experienced. I don't really know if I'm staying on topic with all of that, but I figured I would mention it, since I happen to think it's a nice part of the US.

OH and hey! Apparently, the cheeseburger was first made in Denver, Colorado. And for all you drinkers, here's something for ya: Colorado has more microbreweries per capita than any other state.
