Anyone here buying this when it comes out? It will be released here in AUS on saturday. I managed to solo the gore magala in the demo version after 25 minutes and a single cart. Cant wait to hunt me some Akintor armor and farm for dat sweet paralysis long sword. I have a team of 4 friends already and we will probably hit G rank by the end of the week. I was trying to find a cheap copy of MH3 for months and then gave up on it.

So would be interested in MH4 for sure, but i hear its very grindy

Also im addicted to dota, i still have finished baynetta 1 and 2

Haha, the dota addiction wont stop. But Its going to stop temporarily for me once MH4U comes out.

Its grindy in the sense that if you want to make strong equipment, you need to grind strong monsters for the rare drops you require. Its best done in a party. All post-game quests (which is what everyone plays the game for) are in the guild, and its almost a necessity to have a party, otherwise its going to be very overwhelming for you. The game will PUNISH you for making one wrong move, so its about timing and learning what each monster does during a fight. Some people are so good at it that they invest all their materials into super high damage weapons and armor that makes them weaker, but have more damage, just because they never get it. Its defintely a fun game with friends.

My Hunter file in MHFU had 610 hours in it. I played significantly less MH3, but have every intention of completely demolishing MH4. We'll play online and hope the servers aren't too ba-- HAHAHAHAHA Of course they'll be bad. We'll play anyway.

whats your weapon of choice? Not that you wouldnt try and use most weapons, but I find the Long Sword to be the most versatile.

For years I've got Monster Hunter confused with some Anime with some Yellow Jumping Eye Ball that I didn't like.

I'm one of the handful that LOVES Sword & Shield. I like setting up stun blocks, or poison on contact. I also employ a Hunting Horn when we have 3 or 4 players. Light crossbow is ny third weapon of choice, also only with more than two.

60 hours in now. I just unlocked high rank village quests, and im HR5 in the guild. got myself some high rank Zinoga armor, which is a delicious upgrade from my low rank rathian (aesthetically too). Working towards the wailing ghost+ in the long sword tree. Havnt tried making other weapons yet, im just too confortable using the LS. Need to farm some high rank Khezu's now to get Electro Sacs to furthar upgrade my LS.
