Just out of curiousity.....

I've never believed in God, well, I believed in him for as long as I believed in father Christmas tbh, I just kept waiting for people to tell me HE wasn't real either, I just came to my own conclusion that I didn't believe in the end, I went to a religious primary school aswel, so going to church which I swear was every week, but it probably wasn't was just a pain in the arse, it was drafty and cold and the seats prickled my bum :[

I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, afterlife anything, once I'm dead I'm dead, I'm not going to care because I'l be dead, and if there IS a Hell, well, I guess it sucks to be me. I don't believe some all important powerful being created the planet, I prefer to beleive that Big Bang theory, I also believe someone just invented the concept of God to keep people inline years and years ago, but that's just me, I really don't want to offend anyone with that last comment there, that's NOT the intention

Of course, there's no proof either way, and I respect other peoples opinions so long as they don't try to force THEIRS on me, there's nothing annoys me more than Jehovas witness' knocking on my door trying to convert me ]:

I am not so sure that ``god`` exist, but I do believe in ghosts, spirits, angels and demons. they just feel natural for me. when I think it over, a world without spirits, angels and demons are completely dead.

I myself believe in god. I have never attended church or anything of the sort in my life, however, I firmly believe that a god exists.

Believing in a God doesn't mean believing in a Christian God, let alone believing in the Bible.

Where I go to school at everyone knows im an atheist and judges me...It is a small high school so what one person knows soon everyone knows..Its good to finally find somewhere I can express my beliefs without being judged and chastised for them...

How are you judged at your school for being an Atheist, when you were just talking about the Bible? or what religion is it that you are, that you are being "judged"?

I have always derived some pleasure in the portrayal of people's acceptance that they have no faith in their dominant cultural religion. For myself, I was simply laying in bed at around the age of 8, and I wondered if I believed in the Jesus of legend. After all, I had been praying for things for so long (Super Nintendo, a million dollars, my grandparents to stop visiting), and I began to feel that a one third approval on prayer was either coincidental or statistically irrelevant. I also began to realize I had been lied to about so many transcendent beings that the most likely scenario was that the Jesus of legend belonged in the same continuum.

I do suffer from the atheist's struggle of understanding the synaptic firings within the mind of the believer; however, this is not as much of an affliction as one who cannot comprehend the processes going on inside the mind of those who are not under the influence.

I had exactly the same thing. I hated having to endure religious assemblies and hymn practice as I saw it as a complete waste of time. My mum raised me to believe what I want, to learn things and make a decision for myself. I am a spiritual person, and I believe in the energies of the Earth and the cosmos, although I am unsure of how everything began. I don't believe so much in godlike entities; however scientific theories also have holes. I sometimes think about things, but I just take things as it comes.

I have no problems with religious people, and will accept them for who they are and appreciate that everyone has different beliefs, I just hate it if someone tries to preach at me. I also have a strong repellent towards churches, as they have really heavy energies that leave me feeling negative. I assume it's probably due to them being built on old ritual sites of pagans and druids after they were killed by Christian settlers.

If people believe in love till the end of time, doesn't love exist until the end of time?

God is not a physical creature. It's not some dragon blessed with eternal life, watching us from a high rock or a palace of clouds.
