Here's a mibbit link:
https://client01.chat.mibbit.com/?se...nick=Test12345
For anyone that uses an alternative irc client, the server is irc.rizon.net and the room is #thefinalfantasy. The mibbit link connects over port 6697, which is the SSL port. Means you're encrypted, **** the government and prying eyes.
Here are some FAQs I copy pasta'd
Q: What is the chat?
A: The chat is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat)
Q: How do I use my own IRC client?
A: Set up the connection to the server (irc.rizon.net) on port 6667, although it is encouraged you set up with SSL, for this enable SSL and use port 6697, then join the room #thefinalfantasy
Q: How do I protect my name?
A: Register with nickserv:
/msg nickserv register <password> <email>
/msg nickserv confirm <passcode emailed to you>
Then when someone steals your nick (or you get disconnected but your name has yet to ping out) and you can't use it, chose a random name and enter:
/msg nickserv ghost <name> <password>
When you log on, to identify, you enter:
/msg nickserv identify <password>
And you can set so they can't use your name without identifying (in 1 minute) by entering:
/msg nickserv set kill on
Or for a reduced delay on protection (20s) use:
/msg nickserv set kill quick
Q: What is voice, op and half-op/hop?
A: Voice means you can talk if we "mute" the chat (correct term is set to moderated), op means channel operator, like an admin, and half-op are half-operators, like lesser admins/moderators.
Q: SSL connections seem to keep failing, what should I do?
A: Find where your program stores the certificates (different for every program) and delete the one for the server you are trying to connect to. If that still doesn't work, restart the IRC client.
Rizon is a rather large server, so a lot of names will be taken, meaning you might have to pick a name like Lacquer_Head1 (you can't use spaces, but underscores work)
Now, I figured we could test it and vote on who to make the ops and stuff
