    Im finally doing it

I've been accepted into university. Ill be majoring is psychological science. I am still working my full time job so I'll be studying online for the majority of my course and it will take quite a few years of juggling study/work and personal life. I hope ill be able to manage, although I'm fairly optimistic. I'm keeping this secret from my family because they haven't exactly been supportive of many of my life choices, and I'm just not in the mood for negativity in what might be one of the biggest decisions I make in my life. I don't think they value education much. So instead, I'm here to share it with my TFF family!

I've not had great experiences studying online before (got burned by a third party organisation that ended up declaring bankruptcy), but heres hoping this university will hold up its reputation and provide the same support it does to all of its campus goer's. Any tips on balancing student/study life would be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck. I studied full time, and worked part time around it. I think working full-time and studying part-time would probably be harder in some respects, and easier in others. The hard part about studying full-time really comes in around the time for external examinations. You've got four courses worth of stuff to remember in your head all at once, it's hard to juggle it all and find time to consider them all (you end up compromising some). With part-time study you should really be able to get more value out of less time spent studying, because you'd be "changing contexts" less often. Ideally that would allow you to get more depth out of your study.

My advice would be to do more than the big tests when taking an online course. Sure, you may know the material, and ace the tests, but it is the little assignments that really matter. I received A's on all of my exams, but because I didn't even attempt to do those little assignments, the scores in my courses dropped.

Some say it is harder to do online courses, because of the time balancing aspect. They say that for every credit hour a course is worth, you have to do three times that in studying a night (or is a week?).

Anyway, good luck with your educational endeavors!
