If you could replace yourself with anyone in the world, who would it be? Would you take someone else's spot? Switch shoes for even a day? An ex maybe or even their partner?

I'd at some point in time take the place of just about every person I know anywhere. For many reasons. To force them to use power and/or influence for my benefit, to gain access to information that would be otherwise out of my reach, to avert some of the grievously stupid decisions people make that will inevitably screw me over in some fashion at some point, to do all the illegal things I'd love to do, but let whatever poor sap I'm controlling take the heat for, the list goes on. If I could have one super power, it would be to take control of other people.

As for letting someone else replace me, no thanks. I wouldn't trust anyone else not to **** up anything I'd be doing.

Hell yeah.

Just think about what one could do. HA pointed out a few things, including breaking laws for fun and not having to worry about consequences. You could take this further into stealing and hiding things as one person, then switching back to yourself to retrieve the stolen goods/money at a later time. (I would assume that the person being controlled would have no memory of the incident, considering that it wasn't their consciousness conducting the act.)

Interested in somebody? Become them, then tell all of their friends that they are interested in you (the original you), so when you revert back to yourself, your interest will have a bunch of people telling him/her that he/she is interested in you, until finally he/she gives in and confronts you.

Don't like somebody? Become them, then get into trouble, get fired (Don't like Obama? Make him resign -- but don't you dare let Biden take it), get speeding or parking tickets, whatever.

(EDIT: To expand on that ... become somebody, then get into a fight with you, intentionally get your ass whupped, and when you revert ... technically, you beat them up.)

Don't like paying bills? Become your landlord, draw up a contract that states you don't pay (or pay less) rent, then you can sign it when you become you again. Or you can write up a contract for somebody else to pay your bills, in exchange for whatever.

Hell, you could become somebody famous and commit to visit you, for a concert or party or anything else. When you revert back, the famous person would just think that they didn't remember making that commitment.

Get yourself into events that nobody else can. Make yourself some money, screw over people you don't like, live through people you live vicariously through.

I wouldn't want to be someone else. Just like I wouldn't want anyone else to be me. Plain and simple, I like the way my life is, and wouldn't want to change that. And besides, people tell me that they could never handle what I've been though and hope that they never have to experience what I have.

Now that I think on it, I wouldn't mind being my cat. He has gone through what I have, just as a cat. So it isn't like switching with some random person. He gets away with being mean to people (because he's just so CUTE). Lounging on the deck, getting what I want with a single meow. That's the life. Just one problem, if I were him, who would feed me? Sqwiglee has been wearing his meany-pants lately, and would probably say "Screw You" and not want to feed me if he was me. He doesn't like hot weather, and gets really grouchy because of it.

I agree with Mr. Michael Swayne. I would not want to be anybody else, and I wouldn't want anybody else to be me.

If I were in the body of another person, the only thing that I would do is hope that I return to my original body, and hope that whoever is controlling my original body isn't some sort of criminal, like Sasquatch apparently is.

Now, under this particular circumstance would I ever decide to switch bodies with anybody. I would only switch bodies with somebody if the person I'm switching bodies with lives either in the future, or in the past. There's no fun in having somebody else's body temporarily if you aren't traveling through time. And I'm not talking some guy from 1996 or 2018. It has to be at least 75 to 100 years time lapse minimum from the present year.

Seriously is everyone going on the assumption that the person you want to be would be transferred to your body while you borrow theirs, what if they just floated in a purgatory like state that way your body would remain untouched, you would have to make sure you go back to it every now and again just so it doesn't get bedsores.

Anyway, I wouldn't switch for anyone just for sexual needs. I can get that whenever I so please. I just don't at the moment because I'm a wee busy with life and stuff at the moment. I don't need sex to survive. I learned that a long time ago.

To be honest with you, I wouldn't even want to be a famous person of any kind. To have to face crowds every time you step outside your own home...to have bodyguards watch my every move...to have to keep a professional outlook and hide basically everything I do in order to avoid someone taking it the wrong way thus taking it to the tabloids....that would be annoying as ****. I wouldn't want a life like that. As much as I try to be anything but normal, I don't want to be anything famous. Just let me live my life, you know?

TGDCE- I was mostly referring to those in the present, since as we know now, time travel is impossible. If it was possible to time travel, I would switch with someone who is close to my older self and ask her how the **** she got to where she was. Then I would go back and make things better for my self and future self....Because I'm a selfish ass who likes to look out for myself

If someone so decides to be me, I wouldn't mind them borrowing my body. I sometimes think I need a break from my own body, but no one wants to go through what I go through because they can't handle my awesomeness. Bitches.

I don't have any form of security clearance. And I have no intention of placing myself in a position that would get me one. Rules, regulations, hierarchies, chains of command, just not my thing. I have no interest and no respect for rules or authority. That's not to say I don't gather information on my own when the opportunity presents itself, however those opportunities are limited to less important tidbits of mostly irrelevant albeit amusing personal information. Access to greater information classified and hidden from the public, that is information worth possessing. Information which a creative individual would likely find a way to exploit for his own gain, and I'm nothing if not creative.
