I'd like to name a daughter Elizabeth, first son will be named after me, carry on the tradition
... or Another one...
What would you like to name it?
I used to work with a little girl named Aunnalie who was cute as shyte and fell in love with that name, along with Penelope (Penny for short, of course) and Noelle
For a boy, I wanted Clifford Coolidge - 'cuz those are my dad and grandfather's middle names, but I realize it would probably result in a lot of bullying. I also love the name Walter for a boy.
IDK It's hard to come up with something as equally impressive and unique as Parker (for a girl). I came up with that way before I ever even wanted kids. I just thought it'd be cute as fk naming a little girl Parker. And people have since just been like "o.o; that's actually an awesome name". She was going to be Marie after my sister (her middle name), but my sister kind of pushed me into deciding something else and that was what I remembered. She was -going- to be just Parker Marie, but then we both kind of decided to add on Rose for my mom. So she's Parker RoseMarie - no spaces, no hyphens, just the R & M capitalized.
Anywho. I'm not preggo or wanting anymore kids like ever, I'm just curious. lol

Robert and Stanley for males... they're family names and they're nice and Scottish.
Ella and Cassidy for females, I just like them. There aren't any traditional names for women on either side of my family.
I also think a cool idea for resolving the 'whose family name do our children take dilemma' is for the daughters to take the mother's name, and the sons to take the father's. None of that hypenating stuff, because what if your hyphenated offspring shacks up with another hyphenated offspring? Four last names? No offence to anyone in that situation.
Random is my first choice for a male name. For female I may go with Aya or something based off miriamele but i dunno. alcohol seems to be inhibiting my thought processes.
"Evil spelled backwards is Live, and we all want to do that now don't we?"
Well, I'd certainly want to discuss that with my future husband. (Yes, I want to marry before getting pregnant. Yes, I'm pretty oldfashioned )
I did have some names when I was younger, but over time, I thought those were awful names. The first name was an Italian one - the one my parents thought about naming me. And I really adore that name, I even use it as a nickname pretty often. Still, I wouldn't want to pass it over to my daughter, just because I like the name a lot.
Also, my boyfriend told me he wanted to name his first born son after his grandpa. There has been this tradition in his family that the first born son will be named after the father (who is the first born son of the grandparents, and so on). But his uncle (!) is the first born son, which is why I'm against that name. His uncle has two daughters, so the tradition is gone. Still, if my boyfriend wanted to revive this tradition, it'd be wrong nonetheless because he's the second born son....
Really, after talking to him a LOT about that stuff, I'm fully against traditional names. They only cause trouble if anyone happens to have no son. Also, I don't think you should name someone after a person you liked. My mother was named after one of my grandma's sister who happened to die when she was 13. My mother then told me that she felt as if she was just a replacement of the sister my grandma liked so much... Plus, her second name is the one of my grandma, and the third is the one of the affair (!!) of my grandpa. Which is just... argh. Just argh. Never will I name my children after ANYONE!
Long text, still no names, but I must admit I haven't decided on nice names yet. My taste changes every few years, so I'll just think of some names when I get pregnant
9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
I actually thought about this recently, I would not bare to give my son my fathers or his fathers name, because frankly, both suck. My mother on the other hand has a rather nice name which I would consider giving to my daughter. Right now it's...
Boy: Dante
Girl: Sonya, Anya
Of course my wife would have say in it.
Sig and Avy made by Unknown Entity
Mexicans do that whole 2 last name thing, but it's hella confusing the way they do it
First Son's name: Aedrian
First Daughter's name: Seraphina
Second Son's name: Luca
Second Daughter's name: Torie
I have more names for if I ever have even more children depending on certain things, but those are the main ones first.
Names are a funny thing for me... I hear a name, love it, want to one day use it, and then I either forget it (I've never been good with names, admittedly), or come to dislike it. It seems to be the case with most boy names I think of, heh. Of course, it'll be something I'd like to consider first with my boyfriend, but so far he seems to like the names I like too.
Beyond a doubt, I'd like to name my first daughter Kahlan (the kar-lan pronunciation - not kay-lan), after the character of the same name from The Sword of Truth series. She's a strong female character, and it's a unique name. I also like the name Ellie for a girl, but we'll see.
For a boy, I'm still not sure. Previous names have included Vincent, Alistair and Kurtis, but I don't really like them any more. Lately, I quite like the names Nathan, Liam and Ollie though. I'm still undecided with a boy name, but I'll know the name I'd like my future son to have when I hear it.
After being in my line of work, im not sure if i ever would want to have kids :s

That's a real shame, Rocky. They would have been beautiful.
For me:
Boy who will grow up and stab the mad king in the back and be despised for it ever afterward: Jaime
Girl who shall blossom into a queen and be cruel to her enemies, but a tender and fierce protector to her children: Cersei
Boy who shall be undersized but handsome, brave, just and brilliant: Tyrion
Of course I will first change my last name to Lannister and take up the sigil of a golden lion rampant on a crimson field and the motto:
"Hear me roar!"
*Ahem* seriously, tho. Probably:
Boy: Franklin (A serious name that I hope will encourage his studies?)
Girl: Angelique (a fitting amount of sweetness with just a smack of dirty)

I can see that, but even if they are mentally handicapped they are still beautiful people. And still your kids. <3 I think you'd be a great daddy. You can be my boo any day.
For dudes, I have no idea. For ladies, I think Penelope is adorable. And Ariadne. Shaquiqui is also super endearing, but then she will grow up and hate me for naming her Shaquiqui. I'd call her Quiqui for short.
This thread is creepy for a person like me with no significant other. Why the **** am I thinking about kid's names? But I don't wanna be that person that's like "LE SIGH, ASSUMING I FIND SOMEONE EVER".
luuulz..
Ooooh guuuuurlll she gon' grow up and be in dem music videos mmmmkay?
As long as it ain't Le-a, though. XD
>.<;;; -My- name is Jamie. Not spelled the same way, but yeah.
It kills me when people are like "What's your kid's name?" and I'm like "Parker." and they're like "That's her last name, right?" and I'm all "Noooo... It's her first." & Then they're either "Awwww that's sooo cute!" or "Ooh dang. For real? Where the hell did you come up with -that-!?" like it's stupid. I'm like "At least her name ain't Orangelo. Fekk off."
I honestly really like the idea of letting your kids grow up with nicknames, and then choosing their own name once they are a certain age. But there's so many things wrong with that innocent of an idea. Birth certificates, your kid really liking Cait Sith from FFVII (I just saw your sig, I love Cait Sith, only using as an example).
I've just always thought its so weird that someone else chooses your name for you. Like, I imagine my son being like "why did you name me Joe? I'm Michael as FACK."
Parker actually really does like Cait Sith, but she won't let me name the cat that. She sucks. She's like "No. Just leave it "Shop", momma" and I'm like "She doesn't even -know- that's her name. It's not gonna matter."
So now she's just "Kitty". She refuses to respond to anything anyway.
I quite like the name Parker
Obviously for a girl I like Claire.
For a boy, hubby and I were quite undecided and probably a good thing we ended up with a girl. I wanted Alexander, I like it and it is one of hubby's middle names. Hubby didn't like that and wanted Griffin. I couldn't quite wrap my head around Griffen, didn't like if people shortened it to Griff. Ha ha!
He's still quite butthurt that I didn't go with Auryn for Claire's name. Its pretty but I like Claire much better.
