Literally, how smart do you think you are, or how smart through different tests did a psychologist said you were?
I met allot of people who say their IQ is over 140. Yea right. My IQ is 126-136 respectively and my psych told me My IQ is about 94-98 percent higher than most Americans. Of course he shouldn't had told me that because now... well... arrogance when it comes to intellect.

I don't think that I'm that smart, but I try to stay informed and think for myself which is something even intelligent people can't do most of the time. I'm pretty intuitive and I'm proud of it.

I've never been IQ tested and that alone I think speaks wonders for how Intelligent I was going into High School. A few teachers of mine wanted to put me in the "Gifted" program (an advanced course program meant for children with high IQs), but I didn't want to be socially outcast as the kid who was too smart for regular school so I told them to **** off (in much more polite words) and went on my merry way.
Long story short, I'm a genius Bro.
I have come to the conclusion that intelligence is simply how well you apply critical thought.

Intelligence is not directly related to the Intelligence Quotient.
Having a high IQ just means an adeptness with logic. Logic, unfortunately, has no direct impact on actual intelligence. Usually, highly logical people are better at mathematics, but otherwise it doesn't mean shit when it comes to real-world applications.
The last IQ test I took (REAL test, hundreds of questions on paper, not some shitty online test) scored me at 153. That's actually lower than it was in high school, but IQ should really be listed as a range or an average, not a single individual number. My highest test was 168, and my lowest was 146.
Am I SMART? That's an entirely different question.
I can sit here and tell you that my brain is incredibly efficient, but I really wouldn't consider myself to be very smart. There are a lot of things that I don't know, and I have a very difficult time retaining information. As much as I really enjoy history and the sort, I've got issues keeping all of the facts straight. Then again, I am "that guy" who wrote the ten page essay for English half an hour before it was due without reading source material and aced the topic. I guess it's hit or miss.
It takes me longer than it should to remember something important... but keep me away from numbers, because I'll retain those forever. I still remember phone numbers from two decades ago... and credit card numbers I've ever had to type in... social security numbers for anyone I've ever worked with... you know, shit like that.

Yes, Iq usually does drop 5 years for every year your brain "Rests," but 168 is a little much.
And yes, I know the pros and Cons of IQ, but you know, it tests other things, as in Memory, and spatial reasoning. Higher your IQ is, the easier and quicker it should be for one to adapt and reform to any given situation.
I haven't thought myself as incredibly smart, tho the signs were there.
My Psychologist also said I was gifted and enlightened, but he didn't tell me what that meant, he laughed when I asked and that was it, pissed me off. I think he knew I would get cocky if he told me >.<

I see critical thought as being central to intelligence. I have a little chart by my desk of Bloom's Taxonomy, which is as follows: knowledge < comprehension < application < analysis < synthesis < evaluation/creation
Anyone can report a fact. Then you need to understand it, how it can be used, be able to deconstruct it, combine it with other insights, and then come to a judgement.
Someone who is truly intelligent will be able to create new knowledge through the process of critical thought.
Am I intelligent? I think anyone has the capacity to think critically; it's just a matter of whether or not you attempt it. As Che said, the important part is that you think for yourself.

Despite the high IQ and whatnot, I want to reinforce the fact that I don't consider myself to be exceptionally smart or anything like that. I know people with much lower IQs who are far more intelligent... it's all about how you choose to use your brainpower, combined with what areas of learning you as an individual happen to be more adept.

I placed 97% in the nation in a critical thinking exit exam from my last Uni. So if Critical Thought is important, I'm okay. If it's IQ that is important, I placed 162.
Either way, I'm intelligent enough not to put too much emphasis on IQ or Standardized testing.

I took intro to Pysch then I watched the rest of the show because the pilot caught me with a fantastic premise. I highly suggest a Netflix account to stream it and a nice tall glass of GFY to wash it down.

PS Everyone has taken a psychology course. It's required to graduate high school, and is included in pretty much every college/ (assuming uni as well, but not sure) curriculum. So unless you are working on your PhD in grad school or have it already, you can pretty much stop referencing psychology "training" from now on.

Alright, well apparently not everyone is required to take a psych class in high school. I apologize. Not just hearing this from you, but from someone else as well.
Anyway, at least I can admit when I'm wrong, something you can't do. You'll drag it out for 4 pages just to try to protect some sort of internet dignity you believe to be real.
