hmmm. So you're saying the problem is with the culture of a country, not with the religion its based its cultural beliefs from. Ill never change the way I feel about religion, but I guess I can understand your point here, I'd not considered that before. Fair enough. but having said this, are you trying to tell me that religion plays absolutley no part in the horrors of recent and historical events?
Provided everyone is free to choose their religion or lack thereof, no one is being oppressed by wearing a particular piece of clothing.
More often than not, people don't choose their religion. They're born into it. Most religions in general choose men over women. In Catholicism, for example, men can be priests but women can't based on some ridiculous notion that women are unworthy, because Eve ate some fruit from a tree this one time, which apparently expresses that a healthy diet is sinful, but I digress. In an instance where one is born into a particular religion, and does not choose it, people are oppressed into wearing particular pieces of clothing.
I also agree with Rowan that a religion as corrupt, immoral, and illogical as Islam shouldn't be exempt from criticism simply because some of its members are unstable extremists, though I would honestly say the exact same thing about every major religion. The fact that people outside of the Muslim religion get death threats for the simple mention of Muhammad is completely absurd, especially considering there is little if no threat of violence when Jesus Christ is blasphemed.
Not to mention that radical Islam is considerably more dangerous than, say, radical Catholicism. I'd rather come face to face with the Westboro Baptist Church than ISIS or al Qaeda.
Also, I saw the Wesboro Baptist Church a few years ago protesting the funeral of Joe Biden's mother, and I flipped them off. That made me happy.
Pete: Meier, don't even lie. I know you were going on a nice little tear before you settled down with the new gf
che: rofl <3 Meier.
Loaf: Meier is the best.
Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

Thanks for sharing that cresent, I saw the youtube video when it was posted, I am totally down for the new zelda. Love the gameplay, but I really wish they gave us a tidbit on the story, as much as I love exploration in video games, I do like to know what is going on. Other than that, I'm excited, and I really dig that slow mo in the air arrow shooting. Vanquish had an awesome similar feature where you jump out of cover and do a slow-mo shooting of your target.
Well, I've survived another semester, and despite having taken on more than I thought I could chew, managed all A's on my final exams (phew) I didn't even need to resort to extra credit. One of my professors said I was a meticulous person, and another one called me a genius, (what an odd thing to call a person?) both were technical courses, so that makes me pretty happy. I used to be complimented for my brains regularly before my dad died, so that was like a weird reawakening of sorts... "yeah, there's three opinions now, it can't be wrong!"
I also helped my mom pay off all her taxes last year, which was bothering us quite a bit. Victory!
And I've returned here, so, I'd say that's a pretty good run for me.
