Video: Vegemite on agenda for Gillard and Obama | Video | Reuters.com
This is a little old now, but earlier this year, Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited the United States and spoke to President Barrack Obama. On the agenda were two topics of high importance: Aussie Rules and Vegemite.
As Gillard eloquently explains, Vegemite is a yeast by-product used as a spread on toast (among other applications), is black, and tastes rather salty. She erroneously claimed that it must be spread thinly on one's toast. This is incorrect. The thicker the better.
Obama rudely and unfairly criticised it as "horrible". I think he should resign from office for his racist and degrading remarks.
The question remains, have you tried it? Do you like it?
If you haven't tried it, would you?
This video is representative of how all Australians behave.
