So yeah, I'm a sheep shagger. Joy.
i used to live in wales, so i'm an ex-sheep shagger lol

    Sweet.

Did you notice there's not really anyone else from the Midwest here? It's like we Wisconsinites have nothing to do.

Dude, I wish I lived in Europe. At least, as an American, I wished I did. Not as much drama. XD

I'm from Fall River, Massachusetts. It's known for a few things:

*Lizzy Borden - She had an axe. Or not.
*Emeril Lagasse- I went to the same school he did and had some of the same teachers. It was not at the same time, however.
*Mills- In the 19th century, this was a big center for textile mills. There are some still going. A large chunk of my family has worked in a textile mill.
    *Portuguese everything.

Honestly, I hate it here. The people are loud, rude, and stupid. It's poor as hell, and it looks like it's been hit by a bomb. It has some history to it, but I feel like it's been ruined by the take over of Portuguese culture.

Living here is like living in a part of Portugal. A lot of people simply don't speak English. It smells like horrible, greasy food, and there are things like random festivals and parades and shirtless, fat men yelling at each other in Portuguese across the street to make conversation. We're even an official "sister city" to the Azores. Now, this is all fine if you are Portuguese. If you're not, though, they will be very rude to you- especially if you are female. I am not a bit Portuguese, and I have experienced hell because of it. I've even missed out on some jobs because of it.

Not all of the people here suck, but most do. I can't wait to get the hell out of here. I've yet to find a good place to go, though. I guess it's more traveling for me.

    Britain, and I like it.

Okay, so it's not a super, wonderful or particularly interesting place to be, but I do like where I live, on the outskirts of London, on an industrial estate. I think what you're thinking.

"Ew, you live on an industrial estate!"
"What? You like living in a city of metal buildings and strutchers?"

The answer is yes, yes I do. And why? It's not as industrial as it could be. In fact, we have quiet parks here filled with wildlife and it's not an overly busy town because nobody knows we're here, pretty much.

There are various places close to my house that have such an intense population that they just don't stream off into the quiet areas of outer London.

I wish we had a better reputation for great food. I depend on Italy and France for that.

EDIT: Sarah, I feel for you. There are a couple of areas around the country that have somekind of "Gangsta" feel to it because almost every teenager is a yob and carries a knife. I'm not totally generalizing, but I'm not exactly exaggerating, either.

    Arlington, Texas

It used to be called the "tourist capital of the Southwest," but I don't know if anyone still says that any more. A lot of the better places to go are in the cities surrounding us (Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton), but with Arlington being a good central point, it gets the job done I guess. Home of the original Six Flags, home of the Texas Rangers, and in 2009 we'll be the home of the Dallas Cowboys as well. We've also got the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor (which, back in the day, was a Wet'n'Wild, and one of the largest water parks in the state), and we've got some really nice nature parks and the sort up on the north side of town.

I gotta say, it's an awesome place for a visit because there's a lot to do, but after living here for so many years, a lot of the novelty wears off. All of the good bars are in Fort Worth, and all of the good clubs are in Dallas. There's a 24hr pool hall (Rusty's) here in Arlington that I absolutely love, and there's a bar up in downtown (Caves) that I've been going to for the past year and a half, even though I can't drink. Everything else is... meh.

I'm from the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. I love it. It really is the definition of "tourist central". There's usually sunny weather, and a handful of wellknown beaches.

It boasts four main theme parks (Movie World, SeaWorld, Wet 'n' Wild, Dreamworld) and a few smaller projects linked to them (White Water World, Australian Outback Spectacular, Paradise Country). Warner Brothers has a large set of studios right by Movie World. Called Warner Roadshow Studios, various films and television shows have been filmed there (House of Wax, Scooby Doo, Indiana Jones, Fool's Gold, H2O: Just Add Water, etc.). There's also the Q1, the world's tallest residential tower (when incorporating the spire at the top of the skyscraper).

The Gold Coast also plays host to the "Meter Maids":

They walk around like that everyday, even in winter.

Parramatta in New South Wales is also like a second home to me.

Apple Valley, California. There is nothing to brag about here other than the fact that we have clear blue skies all the time unless it's raining. It's anything but spectacular because it's all dirt and tumbleweeds. If you like desert life and dirt bike riding, you'd probably love it. The only other good thing is that it's 1 hour away from the ocean.

I'll be moving to Nevada pretty soon, however. I have a lot more to say about that place. First off, the strip is amazing. Here's some pictures of it:

I've walked up and down this thing a few times in my life. It results in blisters if you're wearing sandals or uncomfortable shoes. Just gotta pick the right clothes and days to do it.

This is what it looks like more on ground level. It's a picture of one of the attractions they have. It's just a fake volcano, but it's pretty cool to watch at night.

The Bellagio water fountain display which is also nice:

The main attractions involve alcohol, gambling, and partying. They've made it where it's more of a place for adults than kids. Infact, they'd rather you leave your kids at home. It USED to be for everyone.

Another thing in Nevada is the Hoover Dam.. the largest Dam in the country(or in the world perhaps) http://photos.igougo.com/images/p227...Hoover_Dam.jpg

Many people have fallen off this thing and died. I went through it in a school trip. It has a tunnel that goes into Arizona and back. The only thing that's scary are the roads that loop around.. long drop offs AND boulders to the side of the mountain.
