The day I let YOU talk to me about how I'M pretentious is the day I write a journal entry dedicated entirely to party butt.
Isn't it a little pretentious? Why do you keep your journal on TFF?

It started out of venting and being insecure, got angry and weird at a couple points. And now I just say whatever hits me.
Because I like to share bits of my life with you guys As uneventful and boring as my life may be. If you don't like it, don't read it
Umm, what they said. I write to help myself. Since all of my other techniques have gotten boring, I took up writing a journal...Also since I've never been motivated to write a private journal, a public one works for me.
It isn't pretentious. That's how I always think.

Why do I write a journal? Well, I feel a public journal to me is a way for those that know me to find out how I am doing without them asking me exactly how I'm doing. Instead of status updates every time I do something, I write a daily entry to catch people up. What of the people that aren't part of TFF? Well, I really don't have an answer. I have given people the link to join, so it's up to them if they want to or not. I make it a point to provide the link regularly, just in case they didn't see it.
Also, it saves paper. Before I had a computer or Internet access, I kept a paper and pencil kind of journal. Then, I did have a blog on myspace, and blog.com, but because I'm here most of the time, I decided to write it here.
Also, since I am paying $21.09US every month to the Internet provider and around $65US for the electric bill, it just makes financial sense to write an online journal. I can't be wasting money on buying notebooks and pens every couple of weeks. If you've read my journal entries, you've seen how long they can get. I tend to write a lot.
No matter what the reason, the journal I write is keep track of my comings and goings, what I do, and serves as a reminder for me to do things in the future. Once my parents come back, I will print out the journal and give them each a copy. That way they can learn about how I managed to not go crazy, despite my current situation.
It's up to you on whether you read my journal or not. No one is forcing you to do it, so why are you asking.

Why do I write?
It's better than getting hand cramps from writing on the paper too much.
On the serious side, I like to share my life and see what other people has to offer in the world.

I keep one to show all the TFFer's how exciting my life is. Unfortunately my journal lately is less than exciting, kinda dumb actually.
Wouldn't it be "pretentious" if it was anywhere else? With what you say, anyone with any sort of online journal, blog or social media is pretentious.
Quite frankly, I agree somewhat. I've read a few entries, blogs and facebook/twitter updates that have changed my opinion on the author. Demanding credit from a few long words and/or meaningless sentences more or less shows you for who you really are.
But then again, I do enjoy taking the time to write an entry in my journal, and taking the time to read up on how other people are doing. I write because sometimes it does help, and also gives me a documented view of my life and thoughts at the time I wrote it. As to why I keep it here? I don't know. I'm comfortable here I guess.
people write journals on here?
I really don't think it's pretentious. It would be if someone was all like: READ MY JOURNAL NOW! But hey, to each his own. I personally am thinking of making one tumblr style. So if I have one of those days where I feel like I'm about to explode I can post things like:
You know what they say, a picture says a thousand words. Or in this case one thousand and seven...
To be honest I just made this thread to help me get 10 posts the night I made it for my 12,000. You pretentious bastards.
If you have to write about yourself, then it's pretentious. Like that bitch, Anne Frank. It pisses me off that the entire time she was in that concentration camp, she only wrote about herself. Why the hell wouldn't she write about me? I was alive in 1944. I have never written about myself. Not a single one of my movies is called "The Life and Times of The Clint Eastwood," because if I wrote that, then I'd just be a pretentious ****, like Anne Frank.
XD How pretentious of you, my fellow pretentious bastard. <3
Um, if my memory serves me correctly, she wrote her diary while in the Annex, not during her short time in the concentration camp. I think her time there was more devoted to uh, not dying. It's sad that she ended up dying there anyway.
Yes, but were you well-known enough in 1944 Amsterdam for her to even know about you to write about the fourteen-year-old you?Originally Posted by The Clint Eastwood

Oh, you are so close! My mom is in prison thank you very much. If you read my journal you would know that. It is part of the first entry. Here's the link, so you won't have to look for it.

Honestly, because it gives me a reason to come back and take a look at these forums once a month. And also because it keeps me in touch with a few random people. And, because, why not?

Will you marry me, Clint? I wanna have posting babies with you.
I like reading journals. Some of you lead such sexy, important lives.

Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."
Crao Porr Cock8. Bitch.
Does polk ever say something that isn't sarcastic as hell?
I don't know. I feel a little bit weird about that. Mostly because you're a man. Though I'm considering it, since I've married many people before, but never a former President of the United States. If I married you, it wouldn't be gay, it would just be patriotic.
None more important then the life of James K. Polk. These people wouldn't be shit without your advances in the Industrial Revolution.
