    Question Ever have something stolen?

With rising theft rates and all that, I suppose it's not uncommon nowadays. Sorry if this thread has been done before

On a night not long ago, when I and two of my brothers were chilling in our house, watching Last Man Standing and reveling in our individual fullness of tummies, an unusual incident occurred.
A scraping sound was heard from the parking lot next door. The bigger of my two brothers arose and cast aside the curtains to see a most bizarre scene playing out below him: A young man was dragging a container of plastic bottles and a two wheeler with an engine block on it next to his bike.
Immediately recognizing the aforementioned 2 items as ours, the big brother was inflamed. He pounded on the window to get the rascal's attention, then pointed directly at him and turned his hand gesture into the thumbs down, while shaking his head. The punk below paled, dropped the two-wheeler and scrambled onto his bike, by the time both brothers extricated themselves from the house, the mysterious thief had fled, leaving his booty to be reclaimed by the original owners.
Odd brother behavior aside, happy ending U_U

So, has anyone else had anything stolen (or almost stolen) from them?
    Your honest answers here, please
    ~I'm sorry I haven't been around very much~

    Ever have something stolen?

I had a "friend" steal some clothes from me a year or so ago. He uploaded a picture on Facebook with my sweater that I happened to really love. Sure enough I dig through my closet only to not find it, check the dirty clothes, nope. I didn't push the issue, just told my roommate that he is good friends with that he isn't allowed in the house anymore.

Other than that, I haven't ever really had anything stolen from me. At least not that I can remember,

Huge amount of CD's and DvD's I lend and never got back, my brothers initials just happen to be on some of those discs which lead to some awkward situations. I got my MP3 stolen in highschool, I never paid too much attention to it, being cheap MS model and all, it was practically begging to be stolen.

I had an Albuquerque Isotopes (yes, it's a real AAA baseball team, and also a Simpsons reference!) hat stolen by the friend of a girl I was trying to bang a few years ago. She took it right off the little shelf in my Olds, behind the passenger seats. The bitch also took my wrist brace, from when I had fractured my wrist playing softball earlier that summer. Seriously, who steals a wrist brace?

My so-called 'best friend' in primary and lower secondary school used to thieve things from from me. Small things, but stuff that meant a lot to me. She stole one of the ornaments I bought as a souvenir for my parents on a school trip, and a pack of 'Donkey' cards I got for Christmas; I loved that game. She also used to beg stuff from me, particularly food. I used to take in weird combination sandwiches when we went on school trips, because I knew she would be on the take. She would ask if she could have some of my sandwich, and I said 'oh, it's cheese and jam' (n.b: not a bad combination, actually, ditto peanut butter and cheese!), and she was like 'Urgh!' and left me alone.

15-some years later (she dropped out of school before she turned 16 because she got pregnant... :s ) I am on her Facebook. She seems to be a reformed character. But I live a good 200km away, so I don't see her personally anymore.

My main problem is lending stuff out in good faith but not getting it back. I lent one of my workmates Kev 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' the book, but I didn't get it back. Apparently his ex-boyfriend took it when they split up, so I can kind of understand that. I can sort of understand that.

My ex still owes me £10. He is leaving town soon, so I will have to get it back from him.

Some four-armed man stole stole money from me once. I was so sad. I'd only had that money for a few minutes after "finding" it at Ilia's Grandma's house. But then I beat said four-armed man at Tetra Master and won a card I didn't have at the time, so I felt better.

I met him again later in some fancy library. He then told me his real name and afterwards ran away from me because I was a Rank S Treasure Hunter and he was Rank E (or D,or F; I don't remember). I felt bad for him, so I put a whole bunch of jewels in the fountain, thinking that maybe he'll see them and find them to boost his rank. But then the jewels changed into a jewel I didn't have a lot of, so I decided to keep it.

My left fog light. Then about a month later, most likely from the same location my left fog light was stolen, was my right foglight. The person had left my other one in tact that I put in to replace the previously stolen one, so I assume it was the same person who just wanted the matching set.

Car got cleaned out in the church parking lot this summer. Stupid me thought my car was my safe and I kept tons of my documentation in their (passport, birth certificate, SIN card, plus my wallet and such.) Yeah set me back like two hundred dollars to get everything cancelled and back in my own hands.

Still don't have a new ipod yet.

    Shame about your 24, though.

    On another note:
While doing regular maintenance on our van, my brother left the hatchback open, and, can you believe it, a woman purposefully walks into our yard and begins shuffling through the back (not realizing she was being watched) she finally chose a fire extinguisher. I'm guessing she wasn't that desperate, a subtle throat-clearing convinced her to drop it and leave.

When I was like 8, things started going missing from my and my sisters room. Just trivial stuff like hair ties and crap.Turns out our step sister was hoarding all of stuff! That whore stole my scrunchie!

On a more serious note, a few years ago my ex and I were in bed asleep and I woke up and saw a light on in the kitchen. Went out to see what was up... fridge door was open. Thought that was weird, closed it, went back to bed. Next thing I hear a click noise and a flash of light. Turns out there was 2 ***holes stealing our s*it. They had taken a carton of rum out of the fridge (which is why it was open), a phone, cigarettes and my ex's new shoes. Jerks had tried to get in from the back door first, but it was locked, then they came in through the garage leaving the door open and ran out the front door leaving it open. My cat nearly got out! These people were my ex's scummy friends. It was all just crap, but to have someone, let alone someone you know come into your home and help themselves to your stuff is pretty low in my book.

Other than that, I personally haven't had anything stolen from me. I'm pretty thankful for that too.

One time my dad found a guy rummaging through his work van. He chased the guy down, punched him in the back of the head and then took all of his stuff back, as well as whatever the thief had stolen from others. He made some good coin that day, if I recall.

Hey, my cat stole panties once - he always brings his catch home. Good Tebow :3

While in a junkyard, my brother mistakenly put his tools down, next thing he knows, they've disappeared. He walks to the exit and finds a man purposefully striding out with our tools in tow. Needless to say, things did not end well for that man.

I had a phone stolen from me at school. I left it on a bench next to where I was playing at school because it fell out of my pocket. It was within eyeshot, but I still missed whoever stole it. I was really upset.

My brother also stole a few things from me growing up, but two things pissed me off the most: a wallet containing a few months worth of savings (around £40, which was a LOT when I was eight years old), and my PSP. They were both returned to me once I discovered them missing, which was well over a week of the incident actually happening. He didn't even use my money, but the PSP he took to school with him to play games with his friends because he dropped and broke his one in the playground... -_-

Once again I'm reminded of something similar. Guess it just takes some words to jog my memory.

This girl I was kind of seeing, not quite dating we just hung out once or twice a week for a couple months, lost her phone. So I gave her my Blackberry Bold 9700, I bought customs parts and had chromed it out. As soon as she stops texting me I find a "similar" phone on KSL (local online selling/trading spot like craigslist), a "limited edition" "chrome" Bold 9700. I'm not stupid, I know that there isn't a limited edition bold 9700. So I confront her about it, call her saying I need it back. She says okay. Only for her to disconnect her number and get a new one and blocks me on facebook. I didn't press the issue, I didn't have a use for the phone anymore, still pisses me off though.

I also had my Blackberry 9000 stolen. The pair of pants I was wearing didn't have deep pockets and whenever I would sit down it would fall out. We went to savers, a store where used goods are brought, cleaned, and resold. We would go there to find some diamonds in the rough. I found some awesome, awesome boots there in really good condition. We bought a couch for the football teams locker room, and a shirt that had captain awesome with a picture of a sailor on it, fun times. Anyways we went there to find some old suits so my friend could wear them around, I sat down on the couches while he was looking around. It took us the time to get back to his house before I noticed my phone was missing. We went back to the store and they "locked" down the store for us. Had everyone come to the front and we called the phone, because we would have heard the vibrate or the ringtone. Sadly it wasn't there. Whoever had gotten it had gotten out by the time we made it back. I called At&t to try to get the phone blacklisted, but At&t didn't have that policy back then (they do now though, gee I wonder why)

Well, at least you got your PsP back in one piece, my sister kinda damaged mine. It still works, sort of. It makes weird noises during games, I'm genuinely afraid to turn it on sometimes, also, the battery's missing. God knows I love her, but goddamn she's an idiot when it comes to taking care of both mine and her own stuff.

I had my Belkin Basic PC Repair Tool Kit stolen from my lab desk at school. Our classroom has a history of thieves that like to come in and take our stuff, I keep suggesting to the instructors that we should install an IP cam for these kind of reasons so we can monitor any suspicious activity.

I lost a few games that way when I was younger. Not to kids who had a malicious intent to reclaim property as their own, though. Once a kid that borrowed one of my games got expelled from school and I never saw him again. Another time, a kid suddenly had to move away when their parent had a job transfer them out of state. The little bastard took my game with him! So I came up with a No-Borrow policy shortly after that. My mistake only cost me a Double Dragon NES cartridge and a Donkey Kong Country SNES cartridge.

I've also been the victim of a few break-ins, but it was only small amounts of money that was stolen those times. Probably teenagers looking for drug money.

I once had in my possession a 45.52-carat deep-blue diamond. I found it in India, in the Kollur mine in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, during the seventeenth century. I then sold it to King Louis XIV of France for 220,000 livres. Wanting the diamond back, I hired mercenaries from England to steal the diamond. However, what I didn't realize was that their allegiance was to their dastardly King George IV. He got the diamond, not I. I waited for years to get the diamond back, however, an evil man by the name of Harry Winston sold it to the Smithsonian.

The world can be a cruel and backwards place. I dug the Tavernier Blue out of the ground with my own two hands, and it was stolen from me, and all I got in return was 324.08 pounds of gold. The Smithsonian is a vile place, filled with precious items which have either been stolen from me, or that I have already claimed for myself.

    Pshaw.

My brother's stolen from my parents and me numerous times. My dad bought a PS2 for himself and a nascar game to work on his hand-eye coordination after he had a major stroke. I took it along with my games over to my brother's place and packed it all up the night before I left.. He snuck out and stole -everything- while I was asleep. He's a crackhead.

Last night (approximately 11:00 PM) my brother heard some pounding and caught a thief who had just knocked a hole in our fence. He thrashed the guy around quite a bit before kicking him off the property, but more importantly, a shocking discovery was made: In our town, people usually steal things the night before the local flea market opens, you can bet that the next day they'll be there selling the 'merchandise'

My brother also attempted to steal the brand new cd player I had installed in my Explorer right in front of me. He'd been smoking lots of crack that day (seriously... $300 worth. Gag me.) .. He was fiending for more after he ran out of money and rock.. I go to the bathroom, come out, he's outside trying to unscrew the mount. It was one of those ones that had the animated screens (dolphins, race cars, etc).. I'd spent around $250 on it ... Back in '03 / '04..

Many a-times tips get stolen. This stupid Bitch at this Mexican place I worked at would steal my tips on Sunday mornings. I finally busted her on it. She claimed she was helping me clean my table and was holding the tip for me.

I've also had customers steal entire cash payments off of my table. Sometimes I'm way too busy to get to it immediately.
Yesterday, these old ladies pretty much jacked me. $120 bill and they got like $10 off in coupons. They were rude and fussy and there were 7 of them and I had 8 other tables to worry about on top of them. They might've left me like $4 total. I pretty much paid -them- to eat at my work. lol ...

Well, I'm going to turn this thread around

I've stolen $3 dollars out of someones car. They had their windows down and it was just sitting there. I thought what the hell.
I stole an iPod, it was really old and in really bad shape, but I wanted an iPod I was still rocking a CD player in 2006. Worse part was I stole it out of the Seminary Building (LDS religion has a class you can take in high school). No one complained about it missing or that it was gone.
I once stole $10 bucks from my friends wallet. (I know I'm terrible)
I stole food from the grocery store I worked at for the 6 months that I worked there. Got caught and had to pay a $300 dollar fine and I am no longer able to work for Associated Foods anymore.
After the last incident I learned my lesson. I haven't stolen anything for I don't know, 5 years?
