Distant Worlds, Atlanta, June 7th or 8th
Alrighty. I have two tickets to give away to Distant Worlds in Atlanta in June. We'll be running a contest in a few weeks for these tickets. I want to get some basic information out there for you in advance:
The tickets are courtesy of Square-Enix's NA community rep.
We need to decide by the end of April whether we want tickets for June 7th or June 8th.
You should not enter the contest if you cannot allocate your own transportation to Atlanta for the concerto; travel (and board, if necessary) is not part of the package.
The contest entries will be anonymous and I intend to put all entries into a community poll - that's right, you will decide your own fate!
The terms of the contest will be made live on May 13th and run for one week; voting will then take place from May 20th until the 24th, where the winner will be announced.
Ideally, anybody within reasonable distance of Atlanta will participate! Please show your interest here and let me know which date you guys would prefer. Free stuff! Contest with viable rewards! Creativity!

Curious: why aren't you entering? I know you left Texas (I think...) but are you too far from Atlanta for a day trip?

Holy dicks this would be fly if I won. I live about 4-6 hours from Atlanta, and my friends have been dying to plan a road trip forever. This could be the best thing of all time. I'd be interested on the one for the eighth, since it doesn't really matter which day I pick.

Lol Yes, I'm in Nashville. Not far from the ATL. Not close enough for a day trip, but close enough to go for a night or two.
What seats are these tickets? I just looked up the concert on Ticketmaster and found killer seats for only $145...
I don't have detail on exactly where the seats are, but they are non-VIP. Given they're utilized for a community giveaway though, I can't possibly imagine they'd be bad.

Whoa, that is extremely ****ing badass. I'd assume the 8th were better as it's a Saturday, and might give people more time to travel after work, etc. Even though I voted on the 7th without thinking about it a few minutes ago.

Well you're certainly welcome to vote for the winner of this contest when it rolls around! The way I plan on handling anonymity will be to accept entries via PM and then post them myself with numbers or pseudonyms or something, then throw a poll on that and cut you guys loose on it.

lol Yeah.. Friday def wouldn't work us, unless by some strange miracle he's off that day.
Chances are, he'll be out in the field for a month. But then again, we -were- talking about going to Texas & / or Ohio in June.. Ahh feck. I can't remember.
Bumping to keep this relevant.
Thus far, it seems Saturday the 8th is the preferred date. I'm also trying to gauge how much interest there is in the contest so I can decide which of the three ideas I'm juggling will be utilized. If there are only three people who would even participate, it seems silly to run a large-scale idea.
(P.S. I need more than three people to participate. That's pathetic. If nobody else lives in the Atlanta area... invite people who do. Srsly.)

I saw it in Omaha, definitely worth seeing. If Atlanta weren't far away, I'd enter to see it again XD Good luck participants, really was an amazing show.

Yeah, I saw it in Dallas two years ago. The show was phenomenal. Anyone who even remotely appreciates music would be completely into this.
