Chinese Zodiac

I recently ate out (yes, very rare for me) and noticed this weird thing. I was not a little flattered to find that I'm a tiger, (apparently Marilyn Monroe was also one) but then got annoyed by the description and that I was expected to go find a dog, a horse, a rabbit, a rooster or a pig for the best compatibility. I know some dogs and horses, so I'm on the hunt for a pig next (just to see what they're like).
So I was curious to find out what y'all thought of your respective animals and how you've interacted with your 'matches' or 'no matches'.

Rat. Means I'm greedy and can't save money worth a damn. The Zodiac represents more than just 'matches'. The descriptions are kind of generalized to a degree, and like with horoscopes, they are meant to be taken with a grain of salt.

Also don't mean to bust bubbles, but the Chinese new year doesn't align well with the Gregorian calendar years, so if you're born in Jan or Feb, might want to be more precise:

As a Chinese culture fan, I go by the lunar calendar. Therefore, I am a Tiger, despite being born in 1987.

Also, it seems fitting that this topic was brought up around the time of the Chinese New Year.

In China, the new year still starts on January 1st. In China, it is currently the year 2016.

But do you happen to have any around that you've interacted with? For instance, I've known two horses thus far and they totally suck (even though I'm supposed to get along with them), but there are also problems with the descriptions, the dragon I know can't listen worth a darn - and don't get me started on the goat.

Also, this one says Tigers get revenge on people who've humiliated them publicly, but that's simply not true, I had nothing to do with those purely karmic events.

My best friend IRL is a Goat but he's nothing like this thing explains lol except maybe the Likes Nice things (Cars)

My best friends back in Vegas are all Dragons/Rabbits and we get along just fine but a lot of it was common interests, we are all different people who just had a couple things in common and realized we are all the real friends after high school.

They are pretty good listeners but that was me out of my friends.

Well I'm a fire tiger under the Chinese zodiac, which means a bunch of shit that I'll copy and paste later. I think they zodiac signs and beliefs are bullshit. The concept that every single person born in a year or month will have the same exact luck and personality is insane.

For example, in traditional zodiac, I'm a Virgo, in Chinese zodiac, I'm a fire tiger. These things overlap on a number of general topics, but have a fair amount of contradictions.

Actually when I read a Chinese Zodiac for the first time, it explained to me that it is known traditionally as the Year of the ****.

I guess somebody decided they were tired of hearing about it from Roosters like me.
