I wish I had a cell phone, there are a few people who I would thoroughly enjoy calling more often had I a phone with long distance, and possibly a farkload of minutes.
Currently I borrow my grandma's when I'm taking my hour long drive to class. However my mom is cutting ties with my stepdad, and that includes not paying the cell phone bill as it's not in her name, so we'll see how that goes >_<
I paid $25 for a new LG EnV2 from Verizon. I like it, it has a QWERTY keyboard to make texting easier, people call me, I answer it, it has an alarm clock. I don't really care about the camera, the build in mp3 player or the microSD slot (which has a 2g card in it I bought ages ago)
So yeah, it's a phone. It does... phone stuff.
I have a fairly old model LG phone. It's from way back when phones actually looked and acted like phones. :p As of right now it's my first and only cell phone. It's a flip model, silver, no keyboard. I have a couple of ringtones on it and some pictures. It can't really do much else, though I could download some crappy little games if I wanted to.
I originally got it for when I go on vacation, so I could call or text my mom and let her know we made it safely to Florida. And for emergencies, should my car break down or something. That was when I had my old car and the entire underside was starting to rust out, so it was a distinct possibility.
These days I use it mostly to text my best friend or call my mom when I'm on break at work or whatever. I don't really use it all that much, quite honestly. However, it's one of those things that's just good to have handy in case you need it.

I have a silver razr that's lasted for a couple years (thank god) my favorite ring tone is Apocalyptica's i don't care
I got my moms old one this year. (Saves money haha) it works fine but the memory card cannot be read most of the time. It's pretty essential for me.
I have a Blackberry w/ch looks nice and all but it has the worst service.
I love my phone! I use it everyday to play my music on the bus (not aloud you understand) on the way into college. And its cheaper than my iPod, so if it breaks or gets stolen, I may be a wee bit upset, but be thankful it wasn't my iPod.
I like to text, so much in fact I never have credit. I always had credit while I was in secondary school, now being at college it goes so fast! I don't like ringing people - I text pretty damn fast, and I feel like more can be said through words. Besides, my credit would go MEGA fast if I rang someone - DAMN ORAGNE RATES!!! :blowtop:
It has a camera - not the greatest, but it take photos for me to gawp over months later. And videos. I captured my friend Cem climbing into a baggage compartment on a bus today with it. :LOL: And the chaos my drama class created in the playground after our exam. And the time when the school had a power cut. And my final assembly at Haggerston. Ahh... Memories...
It has a radio which I don't really use anymore - no station plays my music, but a bunch of R&B songs I hate. The only thing I really listen to is LBC, which isn't music but people talking about stuff all day, and debates and stuff. Sounds boring, but it isn't.

I guess I've always been a bit of a phone whore. I've gone through a lot, moving as trends came and went. I had one of the first video phones, and it was not what you'd consider to be stylish. My list is as follows:
1st Phone - Nokia 3210: Ah yes. Six long years ago. It was the phone that was was built to survive nuclear war... so that when the cockroaches outlived us it could provide them with a means of cheap telecommunication. I still have this phone: when charged up it switches on, has a remarkable battery life and is perfect for nights out when you lose your phone on a nigh-regular basis.
2nd Phone - Nokia 3310: See Nokia 3210.
3rd Phone - NEC E313: The common house brick. More often associated with a remote control than an actual phone, I bought it simply because it could take videos and had a camera that swivelled. In hindsight it was a mistake. It looked awful, the signal quality was awful and it's brought a lump to my throat simply reminiscing about it.
4th Phone - Nokia 6630: I have a bit of a soft spot for this phone, it lasted me well and I certainly got my monies' worth. I only used it for around 15 months, but I was mightily impressed with it. Had a lot of nifty features, but the camera wasn't the best. But I didn't care much for the camera side of things anyways, and I had it on a mighty good contract.
5th Phone - Motorola A1000: Only upside to this phone is that I could play the original Doom on it because it was a PDA in essence. It sucked big time, sending texts was a nightmare and making calls was somewhat of an effort. Didn't last long.
6th Phone - Sony Ericsson W850i: Was a great phone for 15 months, then all of a sudden none of the music played and buttons stopped working rather at random. Didn't endear itself well to me, considering I'd bought a lot of games that my network weren't prepared to reimburse me on. I henceforth expired the contract and went with another one.
Current Phone - Sony Ericsson W910i: You want a decent phone, whatever you do do NOT buy this lump of plastic crap. Have anything more than a 1GB memory card in it and it lags and randomly resets. I cannot wait for the day I can upgrade because it's so poor musically as well, it made me buy an iPod. I'm deadly serious. Do not buy it upon pain of death, it is awful and SE admitted it doesn't work 'to the standard at which it was designed'.

Ah I know what you mean- they're so bloody hardy its incredible! And the different cases you could get for them was cool- I have one with a green and yellow swizzly background and a red eyed treefrog! :D Before that I had a 5110- lost it in France on a watersports holiday with the school.Quote:

Now I have a Samsung D600. Had it for a year and a half now and its still rock steady- and best of all- meproof! I'm a real klutz and drop everything so I need something solid! Its also why I have a classic ipod rather than a nano! I set up the phone with various Final Fantasy music for different people- even though its only really my mum and my mate Stefano who call me often (except when in my hometown- then there more variety).
