Ya know, it's a shame so few of us really got interested in the TFF Traveling Journal idea... that woulda really bolstered some activity if I were able to pull it off right.

I do it except being in Australia would really make it a bit more costly for whichever person had to post it to me.

A Tff gathering...hmm, flights are a little costly to get to the states. I think i'd be there in spirit....or here with spirits. Something like that.

Totally a valid point.

Though it's because the vets post in these threads that other vets post in these threads. When you've been around TFF as long we have and stereotypical threads such as 'What was your last...' or 'What kind of...' become tedious, you start to only remain compelled to post in threads in which you can participate in discussion with fellow older members.

It's sad really, but it's only a matter of time before GC topics get repeated.

Heck, even this thread has been done before.

I understand what you mean. I left for a while because it cycles over and over. You can set a watch to it.

Lets spice it up. Interesting topics. RPs. Clubs. We can't make them vet only, but we can just ignore them.

Sean is banned and has been banned for quite some time now. He wouldn't quit stirring shit up and kept flaming people. So, I treated him like I would any other troublemaker... he got banned. Then we gave him a second chance, and he got banned again. So... yeah? We couldn't help it if he kept willingly breaking rules. =/

Aaaand... well, if I can think of an interesting GC topic that won't spiral downward into some political/religious argument, I'll post it. I actually think I have a pretty cool idea for one coming up... but I won't be able to post it until school starts. One month!

Maybe we could start some club that does a lot of light-hearted, fun RPs versus the more serious ones I normally see. I mean, those are fun too, but um... yeah, anyway. It might be hard to get the vets we're looking for active, though. They would have to be super fun RPs and worth the time. And yeah, newer members would be welcome as long as the understood the point was to have fun. Thoughts?

I like those ideas, im kinda itching to get my hands onto some good RP action again, thing is, I haven't had any good ground breaking ideas for story threads, so Ill just kinda sit back and wait on that

We also need to start up random things like TFF Dungeons and Dragons or try to get a BUNCH of people onto one game together and make a clan TFF...

and this is the part where someone say's "Sid stop being a moron and join World of Warcraft because everybody is already there and there is already a TFF Guild, you just refuse to join the bandwagon"

or something like that.

Though, outside gaming may or may not help inside forum activity... anybody want to give a whirl at some game play together? For example... WC3 has a great DOTA map im sure, we could link up on that.

EDIT: Dauragon I just want to mention it has me being the most active in the Highbridge with 552 posts... thats because they never delete posts there... the funny thing is, I don't even have access to that area anymore because im no longer a moderator! HOW FUN

I haven't been banned yet...I have 50% warning because I posted a link I shoudln't and I wanted to see if loco was actually there or not....guess what, he ways. He never sleeps. He metaphorically stalks the boards waiting to deliver justice to evil-doers by the always damaging warning pecker slap.

That was back in the days of Clan Wars (are those really still floating around). The way I see it now, Clan Wars is to TFF like the Phantom was to the gaming community... and we took it very seriously. Making alt accounts to spy on other clans and see how active they were and try to figure things out. It was quite an interesting endeavor

Oh I don't think I've ever been banned from this place. Warned several times, you betcha, but they love me too much to ban me. I feel like when I come back, it's like when Piazza comes to Shea... beautiful times indeed.

I feel like at one point I held the record for banning and warning the most people. Though I know Mike had the record for banning jew the most times in a single night. oh fun times indeed.

I found out about this place in 2000 or 2001. Like...7 years I guess.

I found it before I even had a computer, I went to the library to post on this forum because I was poor. I simply was looking for Final Fantasy help and was kicked out of FFWA after 2 weeks of being inactive, so I was like...screw you guys...I'm finding some other place to go to.

I don't really have a lot of fond memories or bad memories. I liked my best friend Evil Nix but I never see him anymore, and I liked Omegagear. There were some other odd friends I had, that showed up very intermittently. I dunno, I never was staff, nor was part of any team or club so I didn't really get too vested with many other people here. I just kinda posted whenever I felt like it and that was that.

I remember Quistis who was my only relative on this site, and then we kind of grew apart as she became popular and famous and I kind of just did my own thing.

The biggest disappointment was still the time when the site banned a dyslexic member that couldn't type correctly because he couldn't see on screen that it didn't look right. I remember getting a pm once from his sister saying that she was helping him type. I dunno, to me it was really sad, it was like we were discriminating against people and that was when I made the decision to leave.

I didn't want to be a part of a place that discriminated against people for there handicaps or ailments. That's beyond horrid behaviour.

I joined this forum because the Five Iron Frenzy forum went down, way back in the day, right after September 11th. Back when I was a junior in High School, nearly 6 years ago. The shit that was going on between the n00bs, the cHoSeN, and the moderators was intriguing, so I stuck around to watch, and also put in my two cents on things. I went through a time thinking certain people were assholes, then deciding I was wrong about them, then thinking they were assholes again. Some people I thought were cool, then I thought were assholes. Some people stayed assholes.

In conclusion: I'd like to say I love you all, and I tried to convince myself that I did for several months, but really I can't. I do love S, Sarah, Korova, Tifa (even though she didn't remember me or blocked me out) Llanowar Dead, Kaz, Andromeda, Mr. Keen, Bunny, Ms. Chez Daja, all of the Evil Bad Guys, etc., etc. I also like a lot of the new school people from 2005-2006. Those guys roxors. Anyhoo....
