All that stuff is ceaper and easier than putting a big engine in a crappy car which isn't built to take power.

But even less extreme mods can hurt a vehicle.
I had a 2.5 inch pulley on my supercharger which gave me 20lbs of boost in an engine designed to take 10-12lbs.
Blew my head gasket twice before I changed to a larger pulley. I'm getting much less power now, but I'm not using it on a track, so why kill my wallet with engine problems for 380hp when it takes much less maintenance to settle for 350?

    In short,
You could spend 20 grand on a riceburner tuner and it will keep up with modern mid level sports cars. Or you could spend 15 grand on a 350z which is already fast enough to make those $80,000 mercedies look silly.
interesting except for the fact that i plan on putting about 400-600 hp
on it being as how this moter has a reputation for being bulletproof

But, yeah. I don't like trucks and never have, but most are RWD so it's easily to connect the dots. Doesn't mean it's gonna hold up for long though. It's like doing a LS/Vtec swap and slapping a shitty turbo on it and hoping your engine doesn't blow on MTV: True Life I am a Street Racer.
all platforms have their ups and downs
i chose this one because of its lightweight (the fact that i already swapped
in a fuel injected 22RE might have been a contributing factor)
if all goes according to plan it should cost about $30.000 total

Such a pain getting to that second head. Just how did the manufacturers think normal people were going to manage a spark plug change all the way back there? ...Ignorant Buffoons...

This thread is actually getting funny with the personal jabs, hahaha!

Anyway, real life street racer guy, what are you driving now?
Considering you claim that a 350z is slow, Im expecting to hear quarter miles below 12 seconds, awd, custom engine maps and all that good stuff.
Im not asking so I can poke fun at your ride,
Im pretty interested in performance modding and I like hwaring people talk about their cars.

By the way, the serpentine belt on this Dodge has finally stopped squawking. Yay! Apparently one was not supposed to use belt conditioner on it. *whoops* Those Auto Shop fools think they can mislead girls with their pseudo directions, eh? Well, I shall have my revenge!
