The TFF Language Thread.

I can speak English and Spanish pretty well. I'm available if anybody needs help. I've been around many Hispanic friends, which is easy for me to translate anything that you heard that troubles you. xD

I was browsing through the threads, and thought that this would be the one to best display my language talents.

Anyway...

My native language is English. During my years in elementary school in Tucson, Arizona, I was also taught Spanish. I stayed with it, and am now fluent in Spanish (I am also the 4th and 15th Place Winner in the Ohio State Spanish Competition).

Then, my mother was tired of me not learning anything in the summer (Tiger Parent), so she made me take summer courses. One course was Mandarin, and 8 years later, I am the proud owner of a brain fluent in Chinese.

So, to review,

English, Spanish, and Chinese- I can read it, write it, and speak it.

Note: I can also speak some French, Italian, German, Russian, and Japanese. But only just enough to say who I am, where I am from, where I am going, where is the bathroom, and Please Do Not Kill Me! I know other basic stuff as well.

Note: I will not teach profanity, because I see no reason for it. It is rude and vulgar, and there plenty other words that a person can say to vent their frustration and other feelings.

I didn't notice this before. But after reading this, I'm seeing a lot of cool languages :]

English - Fluent enough
Korean - Mother tongue, Fluent (still working out some kinks here and there)

I also learned French at school, because of Canada's laws, but I wouldn't trust myself to speak and translate well enough :P
