I watch my Anime with dubs.
I think they sound okay, especially in Full Metal Alchemist and Bleach.
Once you listen to the Original, It just doesn't feel right to me, so I stick with dubs.

I myself prefer to watch it subbed. The reason for this is because ALMOST always the original japanese voices sound much better then the shitty english dubbed voices. I find that to be the case anyways, but to each his own.

I prefer to first read the manga, then watch a couple of the subbed, then watch a couple of the dubbs. I love to get my own idea of the characters voice then see if the voice actors match it. Yeah, I have no life >>. I normally find that the Subbed better though...

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

Subbed, though there are exceptions. I think englished dubbed anime loses the emotions from a scene. The writing/translation from Funimation is awful too. Gotta get fan translations as they are better at getting the mood from scene's and finding the suitable words to convey the meaning/emotion(since a lot of japanese words can have double meanings in english).

    SPOILER!!:
[Having pulled over a speeding driver.]
Mac: All right, how about Cat Game?
Foster: Cat Game? What's the record?
Mac: Thorny did six, but I think you can do ten.
    Foster: Ten? Starting right meow?
[They go up to the car.]
    Driver: Sorry about the...
Foster: All right meow. Hand over your license and registration.
[The man gives him his license.]
Foster: Your registration? Hurry up meow.
    Driver: [laughing] Sorry.
Foster: Is there something funny here boy?
    Driver: Oh, no.
Foster: Then why you laughing, Mister... Larry Johnson?
    [Foster stares at him.]
Foster: All right meow, where were we?
Driver: Excuse me, are you saying meow?
    Foster: Am I saying meow?
    Driver: I thought...
Foster: Don't think boy. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
    [The man laughs.]
Foster: Meow. What is so damn funny?
Driver: I could have sworn you said meow.
Foster: Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly-bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer? DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE?
    [The man is uncontrollably laughing.]
Foster: You stop laughing right meow!
Driver: [Stops and swallows hard.] Yes sir.
Foster: Meow, I'm gonna have to give you a ticket on this one. No buts meow. It's the law.
[Rips off the ticket and hands it to the man.]
Foster: Not so funny meow, is it?
[Foster gets up to leave, but Mac shakes his hands at him, indicating only nine meows.]
    Foster: Meow!

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

Subbed most certainly. Dubs always give them voices that make you wanna find the two year old talking through said character and set landmines in their vicinity. Seriously, like the voices for Higurashi, the main dude went from suave japanese low octave guy to NAY-ROO-TOE HIGH PITCHED PREPUBESCENT GIRL oguhdogoo obuhgo

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

Even though i voted for Dub i dont really mind either way, however the anime i would never watch in japanese is Dragonball Z. I think eng dub is much better than japanese (but thats just my opinion)

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

I prefer subs and the original voices, but some dubs really aren't bad. Full Metal Alchemist has a pretty good dub I think, but I prefer to watch .Hack//Sign with subs. So it's a mix for me really, but mainly subs.

Subbed and original voices is where my vote lays, but if there was a I'm really jealous of the one person that voted "I understand Japanese" option I would take that.

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

I watch Anime with a mixture really. When I watch Lucky Star, I cannot stand the English dub, all the voices seem so off, and none of them fit the characters, so I have to watch it in Japanese with subs. With that being said, I started watching Death Note in Japanese with subs, but found it hard to catch up (good job I read the manga before hand) so I watch it in English. With most of the others, it really doesn't bother me what I watch it with.

    Re: Anime: Subbed or Dubbed?

I'll read if I have to but I prefer English dubbed, I can grasp the emotions better that way I guess.

I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.
