Airship are being Worked on for Final Fantasy XV

During the Gamescom live steam of the Final Fantasy XV Live Report, one of the major talking points was about airships, a Final Fantasy staple. Tabata answered at length about their efforts to make it happen. He said a lot of the effort is proving it out to be technically possible. They already made it technically possible to have airships that fly at the altitude seen by Ramuh when he is summoned. However, he wishes to have the altitude higher than that and that is what they're striving to achieve. He is determined to have them in the game in some manner. It does come down to development time and scheduling, so it doesn't make it into the game at release he wants it in through DLC.
