I just got a self-titled Slapstick album that seems to be a best of, and Jughead's Revenge: "Elimination." One of the dudes from Screeching Weasel (singer, I think) was in this band. I think they're still going, in fact. I've only listened to this so far, and it's good. Possibly like it better than Screeching Weasel. I always remembered liking Slapstick, which was a ska-punk band, too. First actual CD's I bought in a while, and both bargain bin disks. Anyhoo...

I received 3 albums in the post today. 'Malice' by Through The Eyes Of The Dead, 'Intervals' by See You Next Tuesday and 'Proprioception' by And Hell Follows With. They are all Death Metal bands, and they all sound the same TBH, but I really like all the albums.

Gaap's old thread shall be darkened with my diabolical presence.
The last CD I got was Darkthrones F.O.A.D. Limited Norwegian Edition box set. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
It came with an unholy poster, unholy postcards and of course an uholy compact disc. Also it features the most wicked album art ever witnessed by man. The tracks on the CD by Fenriz are excellent, those of Nocturno not so much hahaha.
I got 'Incredibad' by The Lonely Island in the post today. It is hilarious. You may know these guys from 'Jizz in my Pants' that was on Saturday Night Live. The whole album is so damn funny, especially the song 'Sax Man' feat. Jack Black. I was lol'ing for ages.

Ibought AC/DC's Highway to Hell album over the weekend because, well it was there. I have Back in Black aswell as a few others but i wanted to get one with Bon Scott, their original lead singer and i believe this is their best album from that era.

Re: What was the last CD you bought?
Got 4 new ones the other day. First was Kanye West's '808s and Heartbreaks' which, despite not being my usual sort of thing, is one hell of an album. The song 'Love Lockdown' is rapidly becoming one of my favourite songs.
The next is Hollywood Undead's new album, 'American Tragedy', which is also very good. Not as good as 'Swan Songs', since they have lost Deuce as their main singer, but is still good regardless.
I also got HIM's 'SWRMXS' which is a remix album of their last album 'Screamworks:...'. Some very weird remixes, such as the Mercyfvcks remix of 'Heartkiller' (which sounds nothing remotely like the original, but is still a good listen).
The last is Disturbed's 'Believe' which is amazing. Contains the classic 'Prayer' which is an old song from when I was growing up with Kerrang TV. Can't believe I hadn't bought it before.

Last physical copy CD I bought was Tech N9ne - All 6's and 7's.
Last digital copy was Ghostface Killah - Ironman.
Both are decent albums, but Tech's album could've done without the T-Pain guest feature. He ruined that song.

Re: What was the last CD you bought?
I purchased From Chaos to Eternity by Rhapsody of Fire a few days ago. It is their eighth album & part 5 of The Dark Secret Saga. Once more RoF has delivered a great album. I have liked all their albums as they have been able to strike the right chord with each new cd or style. It is not my favorite album of theirs, more in the middle ( I never have given serious thought ranking the RoF albums).
When I was listening to Tempesta di Fuoco, track 3, I was startled by the song because near the end the howls sounded like one of my dogs was barking (he's a barker). I paused the song to check if it was him or not which it was the song. The bonus track is a cover of the Iron Maiden's Flash of the Blade which I liked.
Some of my favorite tracks from this LP are:
From Chaos to Eternity Tempesta di Fuoco Ghosts of Forgotten Worlds Aeons of Raging Darkness

Last CD I bought was "Focus" by Cynic. I've long had a bootleg copy a friend let me rip, but I finally found a legit copy a few months back. Truly classic stuff for those who like their metal experimental and laced with complex jazz.

Re: What was the last CD you bought?
Two today.
First is 'Set The World On Fire' by Black Veil Brides. I was very skeptical about them to begin with, because I always end up hating what everyone else loves. Needless to say, this band blows me away. I love the album.
Second is 'The Drug In Me Is You' by Falling In Reverse. Obviously with Ronnie Radke (ex-Escape The Fate vocalist), it's going to sound like the old ETF stuff, and it does. But as I am more of a fan of the older ETF album, I love this album.
