Final Fantasy music aficionados, take note. This massive undertaking over at OverClocked Remix has been in the works for over a year now. They successfully got a Kickstarter funded TWICE unofficially---the first time, however, Square-Enix put a stop to it. Licensing, intellectual property laws, etc. Now that they've gotten their slice of the pie, they gave it the green light to go forward.
Sounds like it will be released in the next week or so.
FF6: Balance & Ruin has been released. Please torrent it from the official website if you can to save on bandwidth. It's a 3+GB download with the FLAC files---a fraction of that without. Enjoy!
So delicious. Delicious pie. I can see why Square Enix wanted their cut!!
What's your favorite track thus far?
Also, I upgraded this to an article, because AMAZING.

Favorites! Oh lord. I only had to get to Disc 1 Track 2 to find my absolute favorite one. Mines of Narshe was so (runrunoryou'llbe) well done. It was exactly as I had hoped.
Beyond that, Shadow's Theme is fantastic. Day After. Mt. Koltz and anything else XPRTNovice does, really. They even made Fanatics Tower sound tolerable. Very ominous.
