Titanic 3D

So, like any girl around my age and has seen Titanic when it first came out in 1997, I went to see it earlier today with a friend. In turn, it inspired me to make a thread. (If there already is one, I apologize. I did a search and came back negative)

When I first saw it, I was 8. Also at the time, I didn't even know what movie I was watching. I just knew it was really good and I may or may not have cried.

Now that I have seen it in theaters (and in 3D no less), I think it kind of solidified itself as the number one love story of all time. Who agrees with me on this? If you disagree, well us why.

Do you think making this fantastic movie in 3D and showing it in theaters was a good idea for the 100th anniversary? If not, what do you think they should have done?

Y'know, Cal had a point. Rose was set to marry HIM, and then she goes off and gallivants around with some other guy? What a bitch. Cal had every right to be angry.

Best love story of all time? I had greater expectations for you. Why do you disappoint? (Nah, I haven't seen this in a long time. Didn't even know it was being rereleased in 3D. Liked the pretty score that was used in a bunch of flash movies online for the next decade, and the action sequences.)

You saw that when you were 8? You saw all those naughty sexy scenes? Shame shame! Anyhoo...

(I assume everyone has seen this movie by now, but YOU NEVER KNOW)

I watched it on my laptop last night. That mother****ing movie....... still makes me cry. But at different parts now than when I was a kid. At whatever age I was, I cried most when Jack died. Now? When Rose jumps off the lifeboat (back onto the Titanic) to stay with Jack til the end, rather than leave him to die alone. Oh god it got me.

Also, Cal treated Rose like a decoration. No respect for her opinions or feelings. She didn't love him, she left him. Yeah, he had a right to be angry, but he brought that shit on himself.


This movie catches a lot of shit, and I don't really know why. Imo, it's a great movie.

Well, she essentially IS luggage. Sexy luggage. That's all she was good for, anyway. Men back then had it RIGHT. You might bring up Rose's Picasso paintings and how she was a forward thinker for her time. So what? SEXY LUGGAGE. "Draw me like one of your french girls."

There's a Titanic drinking game: Take a shot every time you hear Jack say Rose's name, and vice versa (for the record: Rose says "Jack" ~80 times in the movie, and Jack says "Rose" ~50). HAVE FUN!

I liked this movie back in the day. Wasn't too much of a fan of the romance portion, but seeing the ship on the big screen was pretty awesome. Not to mention how dramatic the actual sinking was. That's what got me teary-eyed: Seeing how desperate people were to live, and knowing that most weren't gonna make it. Even more heartbreaking were the ones who accepted they were gonna die... *cue band playing Nearer My God to Thee"

Rose was a bitch. I watched it again, and I thought, Jack said that he was a survivor. Everything that Jack told Rose to do kept her alive. If she had stayed on the lifeboat where she belonged, it would have been Jack, alone, on the wooden door in the water at the end of the movie, and not Rose. The only reason Jack died is because he chose to take care of that retarded bitch instead of taking care of himself.

Anyway, I saw Titanic in 3D, only because my girlfriend saw it. I liked how it felt like the iceberg was coming straight for ME, and how the tits were popping out at ME. Seriously, though. 3D tits? That's very trashy.
