Sketch Contest! (August 2012)

I'm making a contest (duh-hah). The rules are as follows: Work must be hand-drawn (pen, marker, pencil, crayon, whatever) by the submitter (that means YOUR work) and posted here within fifteen days from today. That is, applications will be accepted until September 9-th (ish), when I shall post a thread for voting.
No computer assist, btw, (dat's cheating)
I have no specific criterion yet, but whatever it is should obviously fit within the forum's existing limitations pertaining to decency. Otherwise, yer free as a bird.
The winning prize will be 1,000 gil.
I think that's all - get busy.

I'll try my hand at entering. Don't expect good quality of the photo of my work though... All I got to upload with is a pretty shite webcam. ^^; I will try my best to get a clear shot of whatever I make.

I'm on a break for the next two weeks, so I'm up for it. I've only got my webcam at the moment but i'll try make the picture as clear as possible.

A person claiming they are 'exactly' an artist should do fine...

Well! We finally got some recruits (surprising seeing as how I miss-labelled the year) Anywho, it doesn't matter seeing as how I'm going to win anyway.

Still, I feel we need more entrants, So I'll go promote the contest to random people on-line.

EDIT: AHHHH!!!! I'm so excited! Chad Q. Billingsley has just agreed to donate 9,000 gil to the winner of this competition, making the grand total prize: 10,000 gil! You heard right, folks: 10,000 gil! that's a LOT! So get your art supplies and get busy now!

What if each participating member put in 500 gil towards the prize money. The more people that join, the bigger it gets.

P.S. I'll throw in 2,000 of my own gil to the person whose sketch makes me laugh most, to encourage those of you not "exactly" artistic to participate.

That's certainly an interesting idea, but 500 is a lot. I think maybe 200 would be more practical... maybe I should reserve that idea for the next contest?
But what does everyone else think?

Announcement: I'm sad to report: it appears that due to the upcoming abolition of gil, the prize for this contest is currently in question, but I'm sure it's gonna be pretty awesome. I'll notify you guys as soon as I find out.
