It takes a while to really get into its motions. The better parts are the end of the mission in the land of the waves, small parts of the chunin exams, namely the two tournament style combats, the follow up to the tournament, which is a spoiler and the land of teas is pretty boring comparatively, but the last arc is definitely great as well, which comes after the land of tea. That all ends at episode 136, and then you just find 80 episodes of fillers. Which is why Dragonheart skipped to Shippuden after that. Naruto has its up and downs, the training and things get really boring and slow, but the fights are original and interesting to watch.
Naruto ends up being a lot more when you add up all the points, since in spite of them feeling pointless they all end up having an importance or purpose. The training times get a little long, but otherwise they have a purpose. So it is up to you. I find Inuyasha a little more enjoyable at times, but Naruto has a strange charm to it.

Chalk it up to Naruto's "mysterious power". :D I usually get tired of fighting-based anime fairly quickly, but it's so easy to get drawn into this one. Even after such a long break of not watching it, I found it to be as fun as when it was first running. Even more now, with Shippuuden.
Priscilla, it does get a lot better once the chunin exams start. I'd recommend at least watching the tournaments and the aftermath, even if you decide to skip the other tests. However, if you don't like the characters in the chunin arc, then chances are the anime won't get much better for you. The characters themselves are the strongest part of the anime, in my opinion anyways. If you don't like them then chances are it just won't be worth it. A lot of the secondary characters you'll see in the chunin exams play important roles later on, though mostly they remain secondary.
I will say though, the real reward is when you get through the first series and get into Shippuuden. Won't miss anything by not seeing the fillers, so that's 70 less episodes to worry about. ^^;
Naruto Shippuuden 15-34
Finally caught up! The end of the first arc was very emotional. I'm actually disappointed that I ran out of new episodes to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will develop, now that we're finally seeing the Akatsuki. They leave more questions than answers, but still.
And yes I could just read ahead in the manga, but I don't want to.

I'm not a fan of anime at all but I decided to give it a second chance a few weeks ago; the only one I've seen so far that I can tolerate is Death Note and I really do quite like it. Problem is that I've got to around episode 20 now and my interest has gone down a lot, I watched up to to that point in about three days and haven't watched anymore since. I'm trying to get the courage together to watch some more and hope that these poor parts ending up disappearing.
-
Finished up Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann a couple nights ago(I got into the series just after it ended and finally caught up). Was surprisingly impressed by the series (especially as I thought it was going to end after episode 13 and wondered what was going on in the last 14 episodes), although the romantic side of me was slightly depressed by the ending.
Watched Bleach 149 last night: this filler arc wasn't terrible, and it looks to actually be over, which makes me happy. Ashido was pretty cool.
Then I watched ep 35 of Shippuden tonight: nothing really happened, but we're getting to see Sai a little more. The animations in the closing song really make me laugh right now.
That'll probably be about all of my anime watching until after Thanksgiving break ends: I wasn't able to get all of nodame cantible before I left, and I'll probably start watching Death note after that.
-
Just watched Gravitation. Took me about five hours, and my eyes wouldn't focus by the end of it, but it was well worth it.
Also saw up to episode 14 of Bleach and fifty-something of Naruto recently. Naruto was dubbed though. The 'cut' version too. No blood, no mildly bad language or anything. Bastards. It went from M rating to G. :shake:
-
Bleach 149.
It seems like it's going back to canon by next week, which makes me happy, although it would have been nice to see Ashido in action more.

Naruto 137 - 220
Yes, I actually did watch all of the fillers, cause I'm crazy like that. There were a few decent enough episodes I guess, but the majority are ultimately throwaways, as so many others already know. I certainly wouldn't pay money to watch them again, but the few good episodes buried within made it at least worth my while to see them once.
Naruto Shippuuden 35
My prize for watching all the fillers...and yeah, it was a bit disappointing. I don't like Sai at all. I don't like his attitude or his mouth. I know it probably won't happen but I hope they get rid of him soon.
I especially don't like Kakashi being replaced, even if it is only temporary. I'm not sure that I particularly like Yamato either, but at least he's there on Tsunade's orders. I'll tolerate him and hopefully he'll be at least somewhat personable.
Ah well, I'll be glad when my FMA DVDs come in. I'm feeling a bit Naruto'd out at the moment.

Claymore: 13 - 26: As mentioned it takes a little while to get into it and it does have a few cliches but it gets quite a bit better when they all met up giving you more or less and idea on how the overall Claymore fight and introduces it. The problem is whilst they left the series open it kind of appeared as she reached her peak, if they do decide to carry on where they go from the ending will be interesting.
Rozen Maiden 1 - 4: The series which created the Desu meme, I really wanted to see the reasoning behind it seem as how I really had no clue behind it. Not normally something I would normally watch but it was still semi-interesting. Basically the story is about this kid who collects all this occult kind of stuff and sends them back. But he gets these dolls which turn out to be real and he is forced to serve one of them. I don't really get what the overral story is but it seems to be a battle between the Rozen Maiden's (The dolls) darker sister.
Pokemon Diamond & Pearl 1 - 37: I normally only watched them casually but because of playing the game I wanted to see how they would take it. Overall its kind of disappointing as they keep relying on the same formula. I want to see which pokemon Evolve and which other one they catch. I think that Brock's Egg is a Happiny which would be odd, I mean if it evolves into a Chansey that would be interesting, even more so into Blissey which is pretty much an Uber. Battle wise I presume he will suck terribly till the 6th Gym and then he'll get back to the way he was last time.
I think I might put off Naruto for a while and perhaps start with Bleach and wait till they have like 10 episodes so I can watch it all at once rather than wait a week for one Episode.

Fullmetal Alchemist 1-12
Getting ready to watch the next part, if the DVD ever arrives that is. I already have the boxset for the other half of season one, so I just need volume 4 to come in. I don't know why but this time around for some reason I thought ED sounded a little like Vash from Trigun. *shrug*
I've already watched these episodes so I don't have anything else to comment on, really. Night of the Chimera's Cry is still one of the creepiest and saddest things I have ever seen.

Umm lets see
Blue Submarine Ep 1: i though it was pretty good for an opener. but i havent seen the rest of it! so i cant really divuldge to much into it.
Perfect Blue: Loved it for the 100th time i watched it! great suspencful psycological thriller with quite a few plot twists. Really was up in the air the whole movie on who the killer really was.
Blood: the last vampire (the movie not the series) - kind of liked it even though the use of the word vampire was highly uneeded. over all i might watch it again a few years down the line.
Records of Lodoss War: both series. i love them both even though the "second part" was kind of on the stupid but funny side 1/2 of the time. just seemed like they tried to put to many characture in to it. over all though it is a great mid evil based anime. if you havent seen it i personally recomend it.
-
I last watched Voltron Blue & Yellow Lion, meaning that I watched the first 30 episodes of Voltron.
-
Fullmetal Alchemist, 12-28
The plot's really picking up the pace. What an amazing, emotional story. Even I got a little teary-eyed with some of these recent episodes. The realism is really...real. Too bad I have to wait until next month to see the next set of episodes.
Naruto Shippuden, 36-38
Last week was a two-part special, nice. Still not a lot going on, mostly character development. I'm surprised that Naruto held back as much as he did. He's finally starting to act his age. I was disappointed though, I was so hoping Sakura would punch Sai in the face again. >.>;
I wish they'd be a little more subtle with their foreshadowing, too. I'd already guessed who Akatsuki's spy is. I mean come on, at least try to keep it a surprise. Oh well, it should prove interesting anyways.

Bleach I believe 152 it was.
Pretty good. It had it's hilarious points, especially the guy Ichigo's having to fight right now. He kinda reminds me of Don Kanonji-weird and out there but serious when need be. The ending though is something to really wonder about [although I've already read the manga part of it.]

Bleach Episodes 1 - 20: Originally I planned on waiting a bit more before I started watching it I decided I may as well start going through it now. However this time instead of watching it all once I'm going to queue up 10 Episodes and watch it every couple of days so at least I don't have to wait a week for 1 episode, eventually I will catch up but that won't be such a big deal as it was with Naruto. So far it seems ok but Naruto was more interesting, however I hear that after they go to the Soul Society is starts to get real good so I'm willing to watch more of it.
Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star) Episode's 1 - 10: I was originally unsure of what it was about so I decided to give it a watch. Basically it is set in a Post Apocalyptic world where Kenshiro is trying to find is love (Yuria) who was stolen from him, he takes these two kids with them and goes around killing all those that harm the innocent villagers. What interests me the most is that it pretty much lay down the foundation for most of the fighting animes after it most noticably Dragonball Z, Naruto and I guess Bleach as well. It's quite a simple formula but being so old it worked quite well. I've only started but its quite interesting, something I can watch casually.

The last anime that I have been watching is Death Note.
It is really good so far and apparently it only gets better :)
L is really cool.
-
watched a few the other night
spirited away - an instant classic in my eyes i love this film. (if you like this style)
Amon Saga - short not much to it, it alright. characture designs by yositaka amono
devil man - loved it, but only have the first 2 tapes of the series. dark an gothic. based for mature audinces. wish they would release the rest of it here in the states!
-
Gah this week's Bleach was 152. Last week was 151. But Bleach 152 was the last I watched right now.
-
I recently started watching Deathnote again before quickly realizing why I stopped in the first place. It sucks ass. Other than that I've been watching Naruto, Bleach and some Gundum Wing.
-
Watched 1 - 3 of Hellsing. I've had it sitting on top of my DVD player for about three weeks and finally decided to watch it. In Japanese with subs of course. I didn't think I'd be able to stand the English dub. On the back it's translated as Arucard, which was enough to put me off it. ><
-
The last anime I watched was Elfen Lied series for the first time and man this has to be the best anime that I've ever seen. The story was great and the characters were awsome. Anyone that hasn't seen this anime should go out and see it. Anime score 9.5/10.

Recently, I discovered the godliness of VeohTV [and ALL of you should discover it as well. Just google veohtv]. It's basically a internet TV version of youtube where people upload any and everything, but most of all they uploaded ANIME. I mean you have no idea how annoying and boring it can get just downloading anime [which usually takes a day or two], but with veohTV I can watch almost any episode of any anime that has become popular or popular enough.
So far I've watched...
Fate: Stay Night: At least, I was a bit skeptical in watching this anime. After going through from beginning to end, I must say it's definitely one of the best anime I've seen in the last few years compared to the shit that keeps pouring in. It has a good story, good action, and never gets boring. Plus, there are some truly funny moments.
Baki the Grappler: Maximum Tournament: This was another anime I never really liked in the beginning. It was simply stupid to me. After watching all of this though, it kind of reminded me of DBZ except without all the filler bullshit and stretched battles. The story's alright, the action is great, so overall it was a pretty "fun" anime. Wouldn't really buy it, but I still like it.
Legend of the Crystals: If anyone remembers YEARS ago, there was an anime called Legend of the Crystals BASED off Final Fantasy 5. Thanks to the godliness of veohTV, it has all 4 episodes uploaded in their ORIGINAL video while also having English subs instead of annoying dubs.
This is one anime I really liked YEARS ago when I first rented it from blockbuster. Considering it was only in VHS, that was still pretty cool too, lol.
Anyway, pantyshots, glowing asses, funny moments, cool action, this anime has it all. It's a pity it only had four episodes that were about 30 minutes each.
Bleach Episode 156: I actually have to say, I usually hate episodes that just throw on fight together and stretch it out, -cough- DBZ -cough-, but this was actually a pretty funny episode. Particularly the "I can almost see her panties!" line. Good episode.
Naruto Shipuuden Episode 43: **** is this pissing me off. Ok, so Naruto went SSJ432895757935 and is a complete badass and then Sakura cries before getting knocked out. And in the end Naruto finally becomes human again with Sai talking to Orochimaru. Over stretching about 3-4 episodes, it REALLY was pissing me off how they stretched the HELL out of something as ridiculous is this shit. It's like they're turning it into a boring ass soap opera and I'm sick of it. STOP WITH THE BORING ASS EPISODES AND GET ON WITH IT! I either want a good fight or an episode that actually contributes to the story, not some dumbass flash back like they just love to do.
Yeah...I get angry some times...
-
Inuyasha, last night, I got bored and switched the channel over to Cartoon Network and it was on ^_^ I still love that series, I don't care if it's over! lol
-
Naruto
not sure what episode im trying to finish the whole thing so i can watch shippuden with full understanding. Even though i already started shippuden.
-
Naruto
Watching through Series 1 and 2 again cos I'm bored.
-
The last anime I watched was Gunslinger Girl, the anime was really different compare to the other animes that I've watched. I enjoyed watching this anime. Its cool to see little girls kicking grown males a$$es. I give Gunslinger Girl a 7.5 out of 10.
-
Gungrave. Watched the whole series. For an anime based off a game it was good. But then, it had good birth parents. Plus I love that the main character has my first name. He's a Hero! ^^; Goes to show that I'm not a bad man.
-Sin
-
The last anime that I watched was MY HiME the entire series and man this anime has to be he best so far. MY HiME has action, drama, humor, and Romance. MY HiME ws great from beginning to end. Anyone that hasn't seen this anime yet, should go out and pick-up a copy of this anime.
-
Devil May Cry. It's actually a really good anime. I didn't think it was going to be, but they managed to make it interesting. Not really much else to say. So, yeah...Devil May Cry.
-
Let's see, I last watched:
All 36 episodes of Honey and Clover
Episodes 1-15 of Kanon (2006)
Spirited Away
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
I thought Honey and Clover was pretty amazing, and it's now one of my favorite anime series. Kanon I've already seen before, I'm just re-watching it, but I really do like it a lot. I thought Spirited Away was pretty entertaining, though I felt it was a little too long. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was pretty fun to watch too, and I overall liked it.
-
Death note ^^
Espisode 1 (I have read the whole manga though)
