Nicely done Dodie, I like Hurdy and Old Dalan a lot. It doesn't look like you hand drew these, did you use the computer to do it? The other two look just as good and I disagree with you that the guys face looks very well drawn and you should definitely be proud of it because it was all well done and looks great. =)

@ Xithor- I hand draw all my works, but to add in color, I gotta use the computer because my webcam makes everything look like gray splotches...as you can see from my earlier entries...

Well, here's a bit of an update if anyone wants to see what I've been up to art-wise. I had an urge to do this Yuna pic for a while, and I finally got around to getting it done

Hehehe... Turned out better than I expected, though I still see a few areas that I really need to work on.

Hope you all enjoyed the update! And I got that Tidus pic I still have to complete that was requested who knows how long ago... That will most likely be next....maybe.

Hey all.

Me again.

And I have a couple of works if you want to check 'em out.

First one is of a figure sketch that I've shown before, but decided to add color to it. Second one is of Quina Quen from FF IX. I had an idea to eventually do one of that character chasing around a frog, and finally got it finished. Also, I have discovered that I can't really draw frogs that well... Ah well... It was fun to do anyway~

I also did these because I wanted to practice making backgrounds, since I've never really been able to do those that well. I think I'm steadily improving though, which is a good thing.

Got to check these out they are really good. As always the shading is excellent even on the color images. The coloring is amazing. So How much for one? Hurdy is still probably my favorite, I love the way his ears look!

Well, I have three more submissions that I did for the FF 500 project! There are still plenty of characters available if anyone is interested in participating! Linkie: The Final Fantasy 500



Anyway... What I have to show is Reddas from FF XII (a bad-ass sky pirate who rocks some equally bad-ass pink pants ), Llyud from FF XII: Revenant Wings (a game next to no one has probably played, so if you're not familiar with the character, it's okay ), and Elmyra from FF VII (she was Aerith's adoptive mother).

Just updating this thread with some more art if you wanna check it out. Also, just a little something about the FF 500 project. It's slowed down quite a bit, so it may just be cut down to 200. There's about 25-30 more characters needed to hit that number, so if anyone is interested, check it out!

Anyway:

First up is a figure sketch I did, and added some color to it.

Next, is a fan art of Kiki's Delivery Service~! This was fun to do, and I think it turned out pretty well. I'm proud of it anyway.

Finally, my final submission to the FF 500 project. It's Nero the Sable from FF VII: Dirge of Cerberus. Those things he is holding in his hands are, in fact, supposed to be guns. Turns out I can't draw guns well.

Do you draw most of these in Photoshop/gimp or a different drawing program? I play with it but when it comes to drawing things out on the comp it takes me quite a while since I'm not used to it and using the touch pad sometimes is a pain lol

I want one of those computer sketch pads...or a scanner would be nice.

I like Hurdy too, his clothes look really good ^^

Thanks again for commenting on my work everyone. ^^ And all works that have color to them are done so in GIMP. However I draw them out with pencil on a piece of paper, since I don't have that great of control using a mouse pad.

Well, I have some more works to show, if you're interested. Now, I know that I said that work of Nero was going to be my last submission to the FF 500 project...but I got a message saying that I could go ahead and submit any character I felt like, since the project creator said he hasn't heard from any of the other artists in a while. I figured that I would go ahead and take him up on that.

So....

First up is Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII.

Next is Sephiroth, also from Final Fantasy VII.

Third is Quistis Trepe, Final Fantasy VIII.

And rounding off the FF character fan art is Yang Fang Leiden from Final Fantasy IV.

I also have one more work that I did. It's an Okami fanart. Ammy and Issun are gazing up at a starry night sky at a constellation that was one of the Celestial Brush Gods!

Wow... Nearly at the two-month mark since I've updated. Well, here's some more stuff for you all if you want to see what I've been up to. Most of it is more FF fanart for that FF 500 Project...and yeah, I signed up to do some more. Keeps me occupied when I have nothing better to do.

I've got: Yuna in her FF X-2 garb, Seifer Almasy, a Fat Chocobo (teehehe!), Ramuh, and the Twin Mages - Palom and Porom.

I also did a quick pencil sketch of my cat, mostly because I wanted to do something different from all the work using GIMP. It felt nice to work with traditional media again, but sorry about the quality of the photo... Still using my ghetto webcam:

The amount of detail in the Yuna picture is crazy. How long were you practicing drawing guns, because those are amazing? This FF art project should definitely have your name in it somewhere. You have done a lot of work for it! Someone that isn’t lazy start a petition to change the name to Dodie's Deviously Delightful Final Fantasy Designs, from the FF 500 project.

Thanks again to the both of you for the feedback~ As for guns, I actually haven't been doing them for long. To be honest, I was pretty surprised how well the guns in Yuna's pic turned out.

Well, I have some more works to show off, and yeah, they're more submissions for the FF 500 project. It's nearly finished though. ^^ I have:

Thief Rikku from FF X-2 (I think her face has turned out the best for me so far, and that hair was quite a feat to color in)

A Hypello from FF X/X-2 (He looks like he's deep in thought)

LeBlanc and Nooj from X-2 (I think this is actually my favorite piece, even if the character designs are pretty outrageous ^^)

And Sorceress Edea Kramer from FF VIII (the back ornament looks a little rough, but I like how the head piece turned out.)

I also have a couple of quick sketches that I did for fun. I'm only attaching one because of the limit. I liked how her hair turned out, but I should really work on making the eyes less anime-looking. Oh well. Practice, practice, practice~!

Thanks for commenting! Yeah, Rikku's face does have a more serious look to it. I have to work on making my figures look like they have more personality other than being somber all the time.

I have 5 more works here to show off if anyone wants to see.

First up is Paine from FF X-2, which rounds off the ladies from YRP!

Next is Cid Highwind from FF VII. I messed up the hand that's in the front...and never bothered to fix it.. Shame on me...but I have started paying closer attention to that in my later works, which hopefully shows in my next piece which is:

Fratley and Freya from FF IX! I think it turned out pretty good, especially since I don't really do a lot of anthro characters, and also because there's not a lot of reference materials for Fratley.

Fourth is everyone's favorite Black Mage suffering from an existential crisis: VIVI! He's adorable. :3

Finally, I have Penelo and Vaan from FF XII. Vaan's armor things were tough...so some artistic liberties were taken with those.

Well, it's nearly 5 in the morning and I couldn't sleep, so I decided to give this thread a bit of a bump with some more artworks that I did. This entry has absolutely no fanart whatsoever!!! OHEMGEE WTF??? Crazy, I know! Yeah, I thought I'd put up some original work, because I felt I needed to use my own creativity. ^^

First up is a work I call Joy, because she looks so happy. :3

Second is of a lady striking a pose on a beach. Not bad, though I dislike how big her forearm looks, and how her hand looks a bit deformed... >> Ah well.

Thirdly is a piece that Telegraph suggested that I try. He wanted to see a picture of a gunslinger mackin' on some girls. I can't exactly draw kissy faces well, so I just put a bunch of saloon girls around him. Heh.

The next pic is my interpretation of someone getting a sudden burst of inspiration, and is ready to get started on her next masterpiece. Wish that would happen to me more often.

And finally, a work featuring a lady in a tiny red bikini. ^^

u basically just drew yourself drawing (kinda like norman rockwell, the best might i add).. well what seems to be how u are. lol seeing as to how u have all of this "masterpiece" title worthy art work.. keep'em commin
