here, can anyone tell me why the fu are they making spiderman again?? I know this time its the 'amazing' one but Iv'e already seen toby maguire get bittin already, why are they doing it again?

While I do agree it's way too early for Spiderman reboot (we wouldn't have it in the first place if Sony just let Sam Raimi do his damn job) I have to admit The Amazing Spider-Man looks pretty darn good. From what I can tell it seems to be more faithful to it's original source, although the source itself is bit different from what Sam Raimi had at it's disposal, and there's no doubt Andrew Garfield will top Tobey's performance. Honestly I'm kinda looking forward to this movie.

EDIT: also, here's hoping Stan Lee makes his famous cameo appearance in this movie as well, nuff said.

Why are the studios rebooting franchises? Simples. More revenue for them and these movies are guarateed to do well. Low risk, high reward.

I think that after the success of the Christopher Nolan Batman films they all wanted to add a certain edge to their films in the same way that the Batmans were darker and grittier than the happy go lucky comic adaptations of the mid to late noughties. It gets worse too. They are also rebooting Superman and the Fantastic Four. Talk about flogging a dead horse..........

Yea I agree, can they not just leave stuff alone, its fine the way it was. I didnt even see the fantasitic four film because they looked dire, ... Why cant they make good films anymore, ya have to look harder for them no I think

Oh and it gets worse too. Once Nolan is done with Batman, which will be after TDKR, they will be rebooting the Batman franchise again.They already have it planned out. I....sh*t....you....not.
