It's been a while since I last posted on this thread, and since then I've seen many great animes....
1. Shakugan no Shana
2. Bleach
3. Inuyasha
4. My Hime
5. Elfen Lied
1. Death Note - Read the manga first and it was fantastic, so I decided to watch the anime, and it was just as fantastic. Such a compelling story, and the fact that you (I know I was) rooting for the 'villain'.
2. Bleach - Another one where I was reading the manga and decided to check out the anime. Just really awesome.
3. Pokemon - I still watch it, even just to cling to that last thread of childhood. I still find it a good watch, especially the really early episodes.
1. neon genesis evengalion
2. elfen lied
3. serial experiment lain
Code Geass
Gundam Seed
Death Note...
Nuff said..
I'm currently getting into a few animes but for the most part I'm not really that big on them, choosing three shouldn't be hard for me though since I probably haven't seen much more than that anyway!
I'm not really listing just a series, film, or OAV exclusive list but meh. I'll go with Akira, Slayers and Elfen Lied. The latter which I am just about to finish and has taken the third spot from Death Note. Death Note was the first anime I watched and really enjoyed but I really thought it lost it's way after Misa(?) was introduced and, controversial though it may be, I absolutely despised L as his character made little to no sense at the best of times.
---
1. Cowboy Bebop. (I love the combination of philisophical fighting with the bluesy sound track)
2. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. (This show is simply great for all the different characters.)
3. Code Gease (I loved everything for the Britanian Knights to the Giant Robot Nightmares. Great show!)
EDIT: Honnerable Mentions!
Paranoia Agent (Totally can't believe I almost for got this one! Thanks Insufficient Mage! This was an epic story with a rather dramatic plot and many crazy twists twords the end)
Deltora Quest (I read the books when I was really young and then I saw the anime which does seem to carry with it that childish charm. Still, makes me all nastalgic)
Lupin the 3rd( Quiet possibly the greatest show in the world(Fanboy opinion). I'm not sure what really stuck with me about this show but it was just plain awesome)
Speed Grapher( From the epic voice acting of Christopher Sabat himself to the nifty powers of the protagonist Saiga, this show had alot to offer. I thought it was alittle on the short side but I am still satisfied with the ending.)
Hi,thanks for providing the information here...
The only anime I like is Sailor Moon as anyone can tell by my sig and avatar. I love it's cute romantic story and that it can be so funny almost through every arc and yet then be so serious and stuff at the end of each arc. I also love the shows soundtrack Moonlight Densetsu and Makenai are the greatest songs ever IMHO.
1. Ouran High School Host Club
2. Vampire Knight
3. Chibi Vampire

1. Death Note
2. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

My three favourites would have to be Code Geass, Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama and Vampire Knight in that order.
Although I don't remember too many animes that I've watched, so that list may be incorrect. I have no problems with it though.
I usually don't do lists because I can't decide on order real well, but here's my attempt (included 6 to show non-Key Animation anime):
1. Kanon (2006)
2. Clannad (both seasons)
3. Air TV
4. Spice & Wolf (both seasons)
5. ef - a tale of memories (haven't seen second season yet)
6. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (ditto)
Key always take the top places in my book.
I only have two:
1. Ranma 1/2
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion
1. Death Note
2. Death Note
3. Death Note
Monster
Ruruni Kenshin
Ghost Hunt
Blood +
Honey and clover
vampire knight
rosario vampie
ouran high school host club
and death note
Oh sorry it says 3 then I think they would be
Monster
Kenshin
Blood+
Mine would be
Vampire Knights
Death Note
Ghost
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
I really liked the first movie too, but I wanted to be specific and point out Bloodlust. It's been awhile since I've watched it, but that doesn't stop it from being on my top three. I loved the storyline: it was dark, creepy, and even romantic. I definitely enjoyed the portrayal of the vampire in this - a human being in love with a vamp in an un-twilight manner.
Spirited Away
I used to fall asleep to this movie a lot, in a good way of course. The artwork in this picture was phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the storyline. No Face really disgusted me though, but hey I think that was the point of him, no?
Full Metal Alchemist
I had to throw in a TV series - this one was my favorite for awhile. The whole thing was bad ass and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it; it didn't take long for me to get hooked.
Dragonball Z (US version tho)
Rurouni Kenshin
Deathnote
Fushigi Yuugi
Ayashi No Ceres
Hellsing Ultimate
oh, this one's tough...
Wolf's Rain- although it only lasted 30 episode, it was very good.
Toboe was so innocent ♥
Hotaru no haka- Grave of the fireflies. This film is a must see. It'll talk about loss, struggle, and suffering in life after war.
FLCL- c'mon. Funniest anime, period.
I also like Samurai Champloo, Paranoi Agent, Love Hina, Gundam Wing + Seed, FFVII: Advent Children, S-CRY-ED, and Kikaider
