TFF Linkshell/Free Company

I haven't heard from Loco or anyone else. Do we have a TFF Linkshell set up yet? I don't know if the older stuff from the beta carried over or if there were things from the past. I'm guessing we don't have a Free Company set up yet, but once we make it through the story to the Grand Company we should work on the Free Company. The housing feature for Free Company should be out in a couple months with the first update from my understanding. I know it was in the beta, but I don't think it carried into the release yet. But we should start saving for a TFF Manor for everyone to live in.

I reached level 25 and looked at the process of setting up a Free Company - happy to pay the 15000 fee and get everything setup. The only thing is that the petition to start one must be signed by three (two?) additional signatories that have also reached the level threshold. At the time I had a friend online who met this requirement but she's not really a TFF member anymore, and the initial signatories make up the base 'government' of the company - Fuzz was also online and I was going to as him but he hadn't reached 25 yet.

Sounds like I have some leveling to do. I made it to level 33 in the beta. I found some good leveling up areas. So providing I can get into the game, it should be reasonable enough for me to have 25 by the end of the weekend. I'm level 8 right now, but I've only play for about an hour. What time are you normally online so that we set some things up. Though we will still need a third. I'll try to think of someone else.

The linkshell should be pretty easy to get, I just don't know the cost. I just want to make sure someone hasn't already made one.

At the minute I have a free schedule so can do basically whenever, the only problem is of course time zones.

Normally I've been playing to 2am (1am GMT) but if we can get something organised then I'll be able to play later. It's a pain but time zones have kept me safe from login errors.

Ok, I'm CST, which I believe i -6 or -7 GMT depending on Daylight Savings, I don't know if you observe it or not. So that would put the cut point for me at like 7pm my time, which is right in the middle of the peak play period for US I think. If I can get in, it should be doable that we're on at the same time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no way to add friends if they are not online at the time, right?

I will also have Sunday and Monday free unless things at work change. So if anything before then doesn't work out for us. We should be able to meet sometime then.

I've got a bunch of FFXI people in FFXIV already, so let me get with them and see what the status of the linkshell and FC are.

Yeah, I know you were unavailable. I was more referring I hadn't heard anything leading up to the launch of the game if we had a linkshell or anything. The launch has been difficult for people getting into game. I'm guessing the early access let people have fun and do stuff. But yeah, Loco if anything needs set up let me know. I can work with people to get things moving.

I'm online now, so I'll probably grab you Fuzz. I'm need to build up the TFF Friend list for me. ^^ I figured since the FC is going to be likely just TFF members or a majority we'll just go with TFF and our name. Unless it is already taken or we can agree to something else to call it.

Well, there's about 300MB left on my update on the PS3 version and I should be in-game. Once that occurs, I'll get the ball rolling on the PC version. I tried to update my PC client first, but since my registration code was on PS3... I had to get that patched and updated and registered FIRST before they'd let me into the PC client again.

As from the info thread, seek out Crysanthe Mariveaux very soon, assuming the server has a spot for me to hop online in.

Yeah, finding a spot in the server is the hardest part right now. I think I got lucky since last night it wasn't until 11pm I got in, today it was 7pm. Improvements! Friday is going to be worse I would bet.

I'll keep an eye out for you, send a message or post as a heads up too if you can.

EDIT: I made it to lv 16 before I signed off for the night. A couple more days and I should hit 25 and be able to help be one of the signers. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

As for the linkshell:

Colt Always Works is run by our very own postalblowfish7 and will serve as the official TFF linkshell. While I am one of the founding members of a Free Company, Magitek Rainbows, it isn't our FC, so we'll wait for an official announcement on that once we get ours rolling.

The linkshell is social and does contain some of our people from FFXI that some of you may not be familiar with. Furthermore, our friends from outside of FFXI and TFF alike have been invited into the shell as well, so there will likely be people online at most times.

Maybe we can also encourage them to come visit TFF and grow our community further. Just keep drawing people through FFXIV. ^^ But yeah, it'll take some familiarizing with people I don't know. I've been disconnected with FFXI for years and a lot has passed since then. But if anyone is needing invites I'll probably be one most of the weekend so just shoot me a message here or around the game.
