    Sightseeing Log Guide (In Progress)

Well the new patch is out and some new challenges are out. The sightseeing log is something that can take a little work to uncover. If you want to figure it out on your own, naturally stop reading now. If you need help figuring one out or have discovered some that you want to add to the thread. Come on and post. I'll try to upload screenshots of the locations. If requested I can make videos of the more challenging ones, that require some jumping to do. They can get rather complicated. So let's begin.

The first 4 are very easy. Just go to the location and do what you need to do.

01 Sightseeing location, Upper Limsa Lominsa. Fair weather during the daytime, use lookout.

02 Sightseeing location, Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks. Clear weather during the night, use lookout.

The next two locations I have are outside Limsa Lominsa in the Middle La Noscea region.

03 Sightseeing location, Middle La Noscea Seasong Grotto. Rain weather between 5am-8am, using pray.

04 Sightseeing location, Middle La Noscea Skylift. Fair weather between 12pm-5pm, using lookout.

The next ones I have found are in Gridania and they require more effort. A fair bit of jumping is required in both and timing.

09 Sightseeing, Old Gridania in the Leatherworker's Guild. Overcast weather between 12pm-5pm, use lookout.

The location is easy to spot, you need to be on top of the tanning beds that are up against the wall. How you need to go up to the second floor area to reach it first. There is a set of cabinet to use as stairs. You need to get on up of them and to the first tanning bed in reach. To reach the location, seen in the pictures, you'll need to use sprint and jump. Timing on your jump is critical to make it.

The next location is one that is near the quest starter NPC, but also a really fun to reach. It will take a fair bit of work to actually make it and has some different options depending on your choice.

10 Sightseeing location, Old Gridania in Apkallu Falls. Clear weather during the night, use lookout.

To start, you need to actually be on the other side of the rock divide to the waterfall you're trying to see. There are some rocks that are some rough stepping stones up to the top of the rock divide. The first step is short enough you can just walk up it, but the next jump will require several attempts to make. I've rarely made it the first time, but just keep pushing up against the rock until you make it to the top. Then walk or jump over to the first landing.

The next jump you need to make is base on your path you want to take. The end goal is the same, the last street lamp, but one path you can jump all 3 lamps or the other is only 2 lamps. It is a little easier to line up the option 1 path, but you risk missing two lamps and starting over. The option 2 path you need to get to the higher ground and jump down to the second lamp skipping the first completely. However, you need to get a run jump start on it and jump before the cliff to actually hit the lamp. It requires more timing, but once you have it down is actually pretty easy.

The last jump just requires a sprint and jump, as long as you have it lined up and move and jump almost immediately you should make it without trouble.

14 Sightseeing location in Ul'dah - Hasting Strip. Fair weather during 5am-8am, use Salute.

Just stand on the plate, it is pretty simple.

15 Sightseeing location, Ul'dah - The Gold Court. Overcast weather during 12pm-5pm, use lookout.

This one is simpler than some of the other jumping puzzles, but it does require timing and takes a bit to get back to the starting point if you miss it. The best way to make the jump is get a running start and leap before the ledge hits, about 2 steps before should get you in the area.
