PAX East Heavensward Summary

Yoshida had a new Heavensward presentation for his trip to PAX East. While a lot of the discussed topics were covering already announced information. There was still several new pieces of information that came out of it.

• A new benchmark with a 9 minute long video and character creation to try out the Au Ra will be available next month.
• The female Au Ra specifically have a varied amount of customization.
  
  • Yoshida specifically said that the female could look like as she does in the released pictures or most like a Succubus.
  
  
• The turret the Machinist uses can buff the party or debuff the enemy.
• He went over how they come to decide on a new job and the work that goes into it
  
  • It takes a year to make a new job.
  • The combat team doesn't want to do 3 new jobs like with the expansion ever again.
    
    • Don't know if this hints that future expansions will see fewer new jobs.
    
    
  • The Astrologian weapon went through a lot of ideas before settling on the star globe.
    
    • One design idea had it look very similar to a duel deck from the Yugioh series.
  
  
• The Dark Knight will use MP heavily for their actions.
• The Mac port will come with the expansion release.
• There will be three version of the expansion release.
  
  • A collector's edition.
  • Standard edition.
  • Bundled edition.
  
  
• The original release window for the expansion apparently was in May.
  
  • Now is June 23rd with an early access on the 19th.
  
  
• There is a new specialist system coming for the crafters that was teased, but not explained in more detail.
• All jobs, crafters and gathers will get new AF gear, commonly referred to as AF2 at 60.
