News Post Patch 2.1 Notes for General System Changes

There are even more changes and added features that don't group up with anything else. There are a lot of more changes to the systems and even achievements. The biggest new features here are the Duty Roulette and Party Finder allowing people to setup more customized runs on dungeons with specific goals in mind.

Duty Roulette has been added to the Duty Finder.

You may now register for duties at random from among those you have unlocked. Successful completion will earn you greater rewards than normal. Moreover, a bonus will be awarded once per day for participating in each category. Furthermore, should your role be in short supply, you will be awarded an additional bonus for being an adventurer in need.

Duties are divided into the following categories:

    Duty Roulette: Low Level

    Duties
Sastasha / The Tam-Tara Deepcroft / Copperbell Mines / Halatali / The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak / Haukke Manor / Brayflox's Longstop / The Sunken Temple of Qarn / Cutter's Cry / The Stone Vigil / Dzemael Darkhold / The Aurum Vale / The Bowl of Embers / The Navel / The Howling Eye / Cape Westwind

    Bonuses
Gil / Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy

    Duty Roulette: Guildhests

    Bonuses
    Gil / Company Seals

    * Allagan Tomestones will only be awarded to players who have achieved level 50 in at least one class.
    * Each Duty Roulette category will become available when two or more applicable duties are unlocked.

The required party composition is now displayed for all duties.

Please note that, for some duties, these requirements will not be imposed upon preformed parties.

The player commendation system has been added.

You can now commend a party member who left a positive impression on you during the course of duty.

Upon the conclusion of a duty, the Player Commendation button will appear in the bottom right of the screen. Selecting it will bring up an interface wherein you can commend a party member. Please note that commendations can only be made by those who joined a duty on their own, and not those in a party.

These commendations can be accumulated over time, and by receiving a certain amount, you will unlock achievements that grant special rewards.

The Vote Dismiss function has been added.

Players who are absent for extended periods or harass others can now be democratically expelled from the party.

To initiate a vote, first select Party Members from the Social section of the main menu. Next, select the party member you wish to nominate for dismissal, then Vote Dismiss from the submenu. When vote dismiss is initiated, party members will be prompted for their response. If more than half vote Yes, the player in question will be dismissed from the party.

    * 4 hours must elapse since your last vote dismiss before you can initiate another.
    * You will be required to select a reason for dismissal. Please be warned that unjustified usage of vote dismiss is a punishable act.

The Add Member feature may now be used to recruit new members for trials and guildhests.

    * Please be aware that you may join the trials where the battle is already taking place and is at its peak.

The Party Finder has been added.

Through the Party Finder, you can either search for a party to join, or recruit other adventurers to form a party of your own. This feature is unlocked upon completion of the quest "It's Probably Pirates," and can be found in the Social section of the main menu.

    * Players who have already fulfilled this requirement will have access to the Party Finder upon release of patch 2.1.

    Join Party

The list of partys that are looking for members will be listed on the upper side of the Party Finder window and you may check the details on what kind of members they are looking for.

By pressing "Join," you will join the party right away. You may also send a Tell message to the party leader.

    Search Party

You may search for the party to join based on the content and criteria.

    Search for Members

When you search for partymember, first you select the objective from the availavble content categories(Dungeon / Guildhest / Trials / Raid / Quest Battle / Colosseum / FATE / Treasure Hunt). Then you can set criteria such as average item level, role, atomosphere, language, message.

The online status "Recruiting Party Members" has been added to the player search feature.

Players can now exit the Binding Coil of Bahamut by selecting Leave within the Duty Finder. Moreover, the Duty Finder can now be opened by clicking on the entry in the Duty List.
