Letter from the Producer 55 Previews 2.2 Content and Date Announced

Most of the updates about the patches have been coming through specifically targeted posts of news, but some very important information has been revealed by Yoshida directly in his Letter from the Producer segment. This is the written version that is different from his LIVE letters which are video. In the post he made on the official forums, he showed off screenshots of the glamour system, showing that as long as you own the piece you want something to look like you can simply select the item and change it with very little effort required. The only restricts are the gear can only be change to gear that is the same or lower item level, the copied item doesn't have to remain on you after you do the change and the gear has to use the same number of gear slots (so robes that use both body and head can only be used with other items that also use the body and head).

The next thing, which is even bigger news, the release date for the patch was revealed. Patch 2.2 will be available publicly on March 27th.

There is going to be master recipe books for crafters (which needs some further explanation to understand what that means for crafters), gardening in houses, retainer ventures, more hair styles, big fishing (unclear), a challenge log, new mounts (could mean the beastmen dailies or more on top of that) and most importantly get your relics back out if you've dropped them for primal EX weapons or allagan weapons, because 2.2 is going to give them a new upgrade. Like this is going to be tied to the new tomestone like it is with myth.

And there will be a 2.2 trailer that will be released prior to the release. So everyone can look forward to the big preview.
