Currently, it seems that all NA/EU servers are open for character creation while about half it looks like of the JP servers are closed. So there has been a reversal. Don't know how long it'll ask, but it is promising signs.

As someone who should have no say whatsoever in this matter, I think there should be two ranks. One for the owner, and another for all members of it to be equal. Sure, there's no "drive" to be promoted, but what is that suggesting, anyway?

We only have four ranks. One for the owner, one of the leadership and then the remaining two. For the most people everyone else will be in one rank as equals. The other rank exist purely as a probationary position to make sure they fit within the group. This is mostly for non-forum members to let us get to know them. This is mainly because there is a Company Chest and anything we put in there we want to make sure everyone use equally. Currently, there's not a lot there, but as we play longer there will be more added to the chest.

Anything beyond the four we have would definitely be excessive.

Since the discussion on ranks died out, I'd like to formally recommend that we go with militaristic rankings, since the ranks have to have names anyway, and default is so... default. I'll break down a few sets here and see if anyone has opinions on the matter:


Admiral > Captain > Commander > Ensign
General > Colonel > Sergeant > Private
Captain > Commander > Lieutenant > Ensign

Guys! Guys! Guys! Wait for me! I'm coming and joining Ultros since my friend on Behemoth just abandoned me. Its kind of sad, because I got him to buy the game for me so that I would play with him.

Any recommendations on what you want/need me to play I'm open to suggestion. I may wait till realm transfers get enabled and transfer my marauder from my current server.

Really! You're going to be joining us Syd? Awesome! We're not too strict on asking people to play something. So just go with whatever you feel. We're here to have fun, though we are planning on doing end game content once everyone is ready for it. After my run through Longstop with Fuzz, Phinn and Ealk I definitely want to run those places with people I know and trust.

I've always been a little partial to naval terms. Could always go feudal, with King, Lord, Duke, Marquis or something.

I have also joined the Ultros server ...although I'm a bit divided since I run 4 different characters.
What time of day does everyone play? I'm usually on late at night-after 9 pm central.

Evenings is when most of us seem to be on. If you're on after 9pm you'll run into us pretty easily.

Updated the server list again to reflect accurate FC members after the recent server-hopping and withdrawals and additions, etc. Went ahead and upgraded Sid to Member on this list, and will do so in-game as soon as I log in tonight.

FFXIV does a good job of providing a ton of tutorials explaining things, but if you do have questions just let me or someone in the group know. We'll be able to answer any that you more than likely.

I finally updated the FC member list in the primary post. We have grown a LOT over the last month.

I would like to look at nominations for three more officers. I feel like at least two of these positions should come from members of the FC that Andromeda helped us to absorb.

Also, now that we've got a little more time on our hands, I want to address custom titles for ranks above Initiate again.

I agree, though I'm not sure which of them would be interested in it. I think Nero would be a good pick. I'd have to think on who else from them would be interested, though might just be easier to ask them directly. ^^ They're all really nice, friendly and great people. So I'm really happy to have them.
