FFXIV Alpha Test Starts This Week

Announced on Friday, the alpha test that they have been talking about for FFXIV coming to the end of October is finally here. As promised, the alpha starts this week. In advance of the test, they released so new screenshots showing an internal stress test they made with having a significant number of characters in a specific area. The other things of note were that the characters were wearing exclusive alpha equipment for the dungeon. It's not clear if the equipment is something from the dungeon or something player get for being in the alpha.

All of this is coming in advance of the beta test coming soon and the soon to be released full version update of the game to "A Realm Reborn".
