Vanille and Fang

I was wondering if anyone could confirm this for me?

Are Fang and Vanille, like together? As in 'together' or are they just super BFF'S?

Nothing wrong with that of course. Just always wondered.

There's no real evidence to suggest that they are or not.

I like to think that they're just very close friends. They've both had so much happen to them that they've come to trust and rely on each other for everything. They're also very, very different characters. Opposites might attract and all that, but Fang just appears to be a fully developed leader, and Vanille appears to be just a giggly, playful follower.

Final Fantasy has a knack for romance between characters, so if it was intended for them to be lovers, it would have been far more obvious. But some fanfiction writers have to have their daily fill of what's not even there, right?

Well, so does Balthier and Fran. Throughout FFXII, they call each other "partners", and some dialogue and actions between them call more than just friends. Doesn't mean that they are together.

In the last thread about this very same matter, I pointed out that if they were a couple, a lesbian couple, there'd be talk and coverage. And there isn't any.

Well guys, during Fang and Lightnings little walk to find Snow and Hope. I remember Fang saying she and her partner are trying to find out their focus.

Now this could mean partner as in, ya know, lovers, or it could mean that they are just teammates. Considering the circumstances. I'd say they're lovers.

Wishful thinking. They don't seem to be lesbian. In fact,

Spoiler: in the cut scene where Hope talks to Vanille on Pulse, when he tells her "how he feels about her" she blushes. Even if she didn't feel the same, she seemed to feel some sort of attraction. Of course it was a prank, but still.

And if you think that calling someone your partner makes them your lover, then there are a lot of police officers doing the nasty in squad cars.

Possibly a bit naive to suggest any form of attraction in the opposite direction ZenMonkey. We're talking about pixelated fictional characters but for all intents and purposes she could have been slightly embarrassed at the very notion that Fang and herself were actually romantically involved and yet wasn't quite 'out' as it were.

I'm sure there are plenty of hentai lovers out there who have already dreamt all they need dream up via the marvellous medium of animation already anyway. Personally, I thought their relationship was rather beautiful irrespective of any sort of sexual connotation.

I guess that's true. That was just the way the scene spoke to me, but I guess there can be different schools of thought.

Still...I don't think Vanille and Fang were romantically involved. They just seemed like friends.

And I still believe that the use of the word partner isn't a good argument.
