How hard is 13?

I liked ps1 and ps2 Ffs cuz they weren't too hard and if I got stuck I'd game shark, I mostly play for story..
But I hear in 13 they totally got a new combat system and if u don't pay attention u can die from trash mobs quick..

Would u guys say it's harder than FFx?

Will I be okay if I don't play 13 and it's sequels?
I mostly play 7 and 10 but if I can't do good in 13 I won't enjoy 7 anymore cus it's a final fantasy game and I'll always know that I couldn't beat 13.

I've heard people say the difficulty is easy and others hard. But it is true that if you leave the game alone in combat the monsters will likely destroy you. The combat is more strategic than past games, but aside from a few bosses I don't think the game is any harder than FFX was, which had it's share of difficult bosses to fight.

Okay i give it a try, I really liked FFx, it made me feel simple and clean like kingdom hearts.

Ur not just saying 13 is easy cus ur a pro are u??

I played through FFXIII to completion, but I am speaking about the time I went through it when I was still learning the game. It is definitely one of the harder FF, but I honestly don't think it was any harder than FFX, which had a pretty decent challenge rating as well. It definitely takes a different mind set to play the game though. In FF games debuffs are pointless, but they are important in FFXIII especially during bosses fights. So it is always best to remember your debuffs when fighting.

There were a few really tough boss battles in XIII where I was close to throwing my controller at the TV! However some of the other boxes were easy compared to some of the ones in the earlier Final Fantasy installments. XIII is much harder than most I think.
