Hi All, I need some help on final fantasy 13

My grandson and I are playing an old game of final fantasy 13. I have the guide by square cnix. We have finished the story line, but haven't been able to continue to do the side quests, etc.
After we defeat orphan (second form), we get the crysarium expansion, but the story does not give us the option to continue per the guide book. It just finishes the story and rolls the credits until The End. What am I missing?

After you beat the game you given the option to save I'm pretty sure. Once that's done and you back on the main menu, just load up your save. You'll be back where you were just before fighting Orphan I'm pretty sure, the white room. Back track some until you get to the gate. Go through the game and you should be back at the very beginning of the area. When you look at the map there will be 3 ways you can go. One takes you back through the area, one back outside to the city and the last to Grand Pulse. You want the Grand Pulse gate and then you'll be able to do the side quests.
