FFX-2 Last Mission Uncertain for HD Remaster Version

Famitsu interview those from Square Enix about their upcoming FFX and FFX-2 HD Remaster. Among the new X-2 screenshots, they also talked about which version of X-2 was going to be used. After the release of FFX-2, there was a Japan only Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission version of the game released. This game with an additional story taking place 3 months after the main game, 3 new dressphere costumes for each girl and a Creature Create feature allowing you to capture and train monsters.

According to the interview, the version of the FFX-2 HD is going to be based off the North American release of the game, which leaves the additional content in uncertain territory. They have already said it is undecided if Last Mission will be included with the Remastered version.

Well that's a bit shit and quite wasteful of content that already exists. $10 says they sell Last Mission as DLC a few months after release.

I'm guessing the reason it is uncertain is because the content was Japan only so it was never localized or dubbed. So they may be having trouble getting the voice actors back for it.

Nope, no word on a release. But we have word on the KH release. So we know it is not going to be on or around Sept 10th, because Square wouldn't release two of their bigger titles on the same day.

Wouldn't play it even if it did get included. No big loss for me.

Still same scenario as Final Fantasy Type-0, even a subbed edition as a digital title would probably sell well enough in the US.

Andromeda makes a good point about trying to track down the voice actors.

Still, I'd like to at least have the new Dresspheres and the create a monster thing. They could just add them on at the end as a reward for beating the Final Boss or something. Apparently the Psychic Dressphere (I think it's called that) can teleport around the battle field and do stuff like that, which is kinda cool.

Also wtf Chrome, 'teleport' is so a word.

After September would be my guess since KH was spaced out for release, they're probably going to do the same thing for FFX, annoying but true.

I think we might get to see the dresspheres at least, they probably stand a better chance anyway.

And I hope that they release Type-0 as well, but the longer we go from it's release the worse the chances get. I keep hoping that they'll just do a Vita remake for it and release it for us then.

I think I also read somewhere that the release for XIII: LR is getting pushed back. Or maybe I dreamed it.
