Final Fantasy X HD Vita Demo Showed Off

During a Vita event last night, Square Enix has presented a new look at the progress of their HD remake for Final Fantasy X. This is the first time in a while anything has been seen for FFX HD, which had been uncertain for a while with no talk about the game. Last month, Square Enix assured fans the game was still in development. Showing off their progress, they brought a demo of the Vita version of the game, it is also coming for PS3.

At the event, producer Shinji Hashimoto said that the game will have new character models. He also said that they want this HD remake to be most polished HD remake.

I've just added a video to the main post as well. I was able to locate a video from the Vita event, which some of the other articles did not have. Hurray, youtube users! It is not really a lot that they are showing off in the video, but you can at least get a taste of things.

Watching the video, that does look like a far cry from the visuals of the PS2 version of the game. Amazing how much you can transform the visual quality of a older gen game using current game engines.

They love FFX so much that they are making it for both Vita and PS3 lol.

Well, this will definitely be reassuring news for everyone who's been waiting for news on the remake of X. Hopefully it will live up to everyone's expectations

Nothing yet and I don't know if the next time they talk about it that they'll say anything then. But they are saying that they will be talking about it soon. So there is a chance.

Something tells me we'll hear the rest about the remake around E3. I could be wrong though, just my speculation.

EDIT: since FFX is being remade in HD for PS3/VITA you know what that means...
