    Its fairly simple really...

    Get it to about half life.. then unleash a string of quickenings to kill it off.

    It will always cast renew.

    If you cant get your quickkening chain strong enough to knock off half its HP, level up a bit.

    Thats what I did atleast.

    Yeah the easiest way for you to beat these hunts are to just Level up more. I didn't do any hunts until I got to the end, which is right before the flight to the last boss? lol I still haven't beaten the game, or touched it since doing half the hunts like a year ago...

    But all I did was beat it up, no quickenings at all, in fact, I didn't have quickenings for the first what 30 hours of the game? So I never really learned how to do them, I only got them to boost my Party's overall MP. But yeah if you can't beat them at your current level just level up, and beat them manually =P My characters I think are in their high 50s, Maybe even Low 60s, and the entire Grid is maxed out for everyone, except for Espers.

    Availability: Gain all Espers and finish "The Mind Flayer" hunt.

    Make sure to have a Black Mask (must have) for each member of your party along
    with a Rubber Suit (optional) for each one. It's good to have some Bubble
    Belts and Bowline Sashes for each party member as well. Talk to Geomancer
    Yugelu in Jahara once your party has beaten all Espers. He mentions that he
    will send a Garif Warrior to unlock a secret part of the Henne Mines. Teleport
    to the Henne Mines via the orange save crystal in Jahara.

    ~~ Stage Shaft ~~

    This is the final save point your party will get before fighting the Esper,
    Zodiark. I know, I know. Walk down the path in the Henne Mines that leads to
    the Ore Seperation where the party fought Tiamat.

    ~~ Ore Seperation ~~

    The gate off to the right (east) side of this area is now unlocked. Enter the
    new path.

    ~~ Phase 2 Dig ~~

    If the party is below level 65, you better equip some Bubble Belts because up
    ahead there are plenty of level 65+ Abysteels that will gang up very quickly.
    If you have any light elemental weapons (Excalibur, Holy Lance) then equip them
    to have a much easier time against the Abysteels. Excalibur will really tear
    these bats a new one, so I recommend that you have it with you or go back to
    The Great Crystal and get it (See location at the end of Ultima section).
    Continue down the path and use Float to get over the trap. Go all the way to
    the east. Beware the Gizamaluk mixed with Abysteels. Use Blizzaga on the
    Giazamaluk. Grab the ++HENNE CANDLE++ from the urn to the right in order to
    show the secret areas on the Henne Mines map. Go ahead and press Select.
    Yeah, when Yugelu said "deep in the Henne Mines" he wasn't kidding.

    Venture further south. When you reach the corridors, let the Abysteels come to
    your party and DO NOT let them gang up too much. Look for chests off to the
    sides while moving down the tunnels. The chest blend in well with the walls.
    If you keep heading west down the long western path and your party will run
    into another Gizamaluk in the far southwest - there will be a dead end to the
    left. There is a water pail on the right wall as you walk down the dead end
    with a Discarded Paper inside, hinting at the many treasures inside the Henne
    Mines. Come back out of the southwest portion and run down the other path to
    the south further to the east. This will lead the party into some tunnels that
    are not on the map. Keep moving along these tunnels (either way) to reach the
    entrance to the next area.

    ~~ Crossover C ~~

    This area is fairly straightforward if you look at the map. Hecteyes will drop
    from the ceiling near the middle of this railway tunnel. Equip Bowline Sashes
    to avoid confuse (Phantasmal Gaze) and be ready to cure Disease (Pox). These
    things are very dangerous when fighting more than one at a level below 70, so
    be very careful about standing in between them because they have an attack
    similar to the Jellies where they hit from all sides. Equip Rubber Suits when
    they start to cast Thundaga. Use Blizzaga on them since they are weak to ice.
    They will actually run from the party when they reach HP critical. They will
    lead the party further into the mines so don't always follow since more enemies
    may be lurking ahead. The first gate to the southwest is closed so go through
    the gate to the west.

    ~~ Pithead Junction C ~~

    Ah, a switch. I do have a very fond memory of triggering all those Jellies
    from our first venture into the Henne Mines don't you? Don't press that
    switch. If you press it, 9 Abysteel bats will fall from the ceiling and attack
    the party! Pressing the switch will also seal off the way that the party needs
    to go in the next area.

    ~~ Phase 2 Shaft ~~

    Head to the east. There will be many Hecteyes and Abysteels so try to fight
    them in small numbers if possible. There is a group further to the east (3
    Abysteels and 3 Hecteyes) that you should either run by or lead a few of them
    out at a time to deal with them.

    ~~ Special Charter Shaft ~~

    An occasional Necrofiend will spawn from
    enemies are highly dangerous in numbers
    and they will ambush you easily in this area. Sometimes they will remain
    transparent and only attack while others are attacking, so you could be
    fighting two Etéms then have two more suddenly appear.

    Keep Bowline Sashes and Black Mask equipped since they have a high probability
    of spawning a Necrofiend. They will Stop the party, cast Disease, cast Darkga,
    and drain the party's MP with Annul. They also like to cast Death frequently
    (coutdown version and instant) as well as use Dimensional Rift which is instant
    death. Watch them like a hawk when they attack and equip a Power Armlet to
    ward off their Stop. I would recommend that you equip each of your main party
    members with a powerful weapon while heading through here, no matter the
    character. Equip the Holy Lance, Excalibur, and the Zodiac Spear or Ragnarok
    if you have them. The Etéms drop Soul Powders which you will need two of for
    Empyreal Souls at the Bazaar. Do not try to run through this area, or the
    Etéms will finish your party fast. All the other areas on the way to Zodiark
    can be run through, but not this one - unless you're lucky.

    In the middle of the long path in the east take a left (go north) and move down
    the hidden path. When you reach the area on the map once again, you'll have a
    choice of going left, right, or straight ahead (north). Keep going north until
    you reach the far north end and then turn to the left (west) to find a "Glowing
    Object" on the ground. This is actually the treasure that the Discarded Paper
    from ealier was hinting at. Examine it more closely to find ++3 BACCHUS'S
    WINES and 2 MEGALIXIRS++ buried under the dirt floor. Keep in mind that you
    can return to this area and find a chest with the most powerful gun weapon
    inside. You MUST open the chest while the Diamond Armlet is equipped as an
    accessory to receive the ++FOMALHAUT++. I would recommend that you come back
    to this area after you defeat Zodiark to get the chest. It will appear
    randomly like all chest but it has a 100% chance of having that weapon unless
    your party opens it without the Diamond Armlet equipped - it will only contain
    Dark Matter if that is the case.

    Go back to the intersection and move down the right tunnel (heading west).
    Take the next right (heading north). You will wind up along a small strip
    visible on the map when your party turns left again. The path to the west in
    this upper north portion will lead directly to Zodiark.

    You really just have to kill him.

    There really isn't a special way to fight him.

    If your good with quickenings, you may find those extremely useful fighting him.

    I suggest first off using your quickenings too max. And then just going at him attacking just the main person and keeping a close eye on yur health.

    I know which boss your talking about, But I forgot his name.

    First off, you have to kill the three guards first to get them out of the way. They are pretty easy so it shouldn't be too hard. It might be best to start the battle with a quickening. Try to get in AT LEAST 3 hits in the quickening chain so that you can get the Inferno area attack. The more hits you get in the stronger Inferno will get. Once they are finished, then focus your attack on Judge Ghis. It might also be a wise decision to have cure or potion gambits sitting at the top spot. It might also be a good idea to have at least one ranged fighter. For example, equip a gun or bow to one of your characters so that they can sit back and not worry about taking damage too much. If you have the best armor equipped then it should help out. Also, equip a shield to one of your close-ranged fighters. As Judge Ghis's HP starts to fall, his attacks become faster and more powerful. With enough patience you can win the battle. Good luck.

    now I'm in fran town to finding Fran sister then the queen or the boss of the town she told me to go west of ozm plan or something like that..

    You have to get a chocobo from the land of the Garifs in the southern part of Ozmone Plain. Ride it to the east of your starting point through some shrubs. This area is the entrence to the Henne Mines. Before entering the mines, check around for a treasure coffer. There is a certain one that appears that has a chance of holding a Golden Amulet if found. Then you enter the mines. It's a pretty tough fight to get to Mjrn so you might want to do a bit of leveling in here. BTW, you can also get a pretty good battle chain going here by defeating all kinds of bats. This is where I got my 215 battle chain. Good luck.

    Go to the Sunlit Path on Ozmone Plain, you'll see two guards and a chocobo near the save crystal. Give the guard a potion, then talk to him again and he'll let you use his chocobo. Go to the Field of Light Winds, look right as soon as you enter from the Sunlit Path and you'll see chocobo tracks leading off the map. That's where you want to go, it takes you to the part of The Shred that you couldn't get to before. The entrance to the Henne Mines is in the southeast, which is where you'll want to go.

    Please stop double posting, it's against the rules here.

    Ok, when you enter into the Sunlit Path from the Field of Light Winds, look to your right, at the ground. You will see large bird tracks around the bushes, those tracks are from the chocobos, that is where the path is. You must be riding a chocobo to enter this path. Once you're on it, just follow it off the map and into the lower part of The Shred where the mines are.

    Hi everyone, back to my silly Q.
    i get pic.'s for you can understand me clearly , and you can explain it to me by Easier way, here the first pic. about what I do in The Sunlit Path

    I don't know how many different ways I can say it, this really isn't all that difficult. Here's a quote provided by a walkthrough:

    Give the guard a Potion, and talk to them again to use their chocobo. Go to the next screen west in the Ozmone Plain and then go south where the yellow chocobo is. Actually, you can walk through this area, and you'll see another Chocobo. Keep going southeast and you'll be in the next area, previously unaccessible. Get off the Chocobo at the end and go in the Henne Mines.

    You cannot get there through The Shred, you must go through the hidden path in the Sunlit Path area to reach the Mines. Ignore The Shred for now. Once you get on the path you'll see how simple it is.

    Edit: Ok, I looked around and found something that may help you. Watch this video from about 3:17 to 3:44, it shows you exactly where the path is.

    Would be nice to know what level you're currently at...

    Anyways, a pretty good rule of thumb is to check how easy or hard it is to defeat the surrounding monsters. If you have trouble with any of them, chances are you're a bit low. I'd say the mid 40s is fine. You could probably manage in the low 40s as long as you're good with the battle system.

    I just passed through Archades on my current game and I'm just hitting the low 50s, but I've also been doing a ton of optional things, so I'm actually overleveled right now.

    hey iwas just wondering if thier was a easy way of killing judge ghris when u save ashe or any strgitic way of doing it

    dawn shard which one is that is that the one that glows when ashe is around or the glowing crap that ashe gives to u

    is it Belias?
    if it is,use equip your characters gambit with water moths and/or cast water.
    If that doesnt work do a quickening.
    use lv 2 quickening and if you do a lv 2 quickening 3 times your final attack will be Torrent (water element) which should instantly kill him(thats how I beat him)

    yah i think that will do.. just don't forget to use the haste magick so that you can attack that monster very quick... and make sure you always heal your characters (just include these in their gambits) we always to that at the heat of the battle... gud luck and enjoy!!!

    i was just wondering if any one knows an easy way of killing the boss
    in the jungle i cant get passed him im lvl 32 he always cast a spell that
    cfause blind silince and sap and it practaly kills me faster then hell
    i just keep lvling up but its like it does no good with that guy

    I'm having trouble defeating the 2nd Esper Boss Mateus(SP?). Can anyone give me a few pointers in defeating her? For the most part, my main party is all level 26. My secondary party is level 23. I have Rank 2 Mist things for just about all but two of my characters. I defeated those little ice things once with a Mist Chain but cant really do it anymore.

    I had some trouble with Mateus too ,Thundara the Azers when Mateus is far away, or just don't risk it at all. Concentrate on one Azer at a time; they won't respawn.
    Ice Shields work well against Flash-Freeze and Blizzaja.that should do it.
